incredible fit

Mammut Vail Pant - Women's

Mammut Vail Pant - Women's

these pants are awesome in every way - I didn't buy them though :( ended up with the Robella because I couldn't pull the trigger on the "flame" color which is what my local shop had in stock. Flame is actually a lighter shade than shown, kind of construction cone orange - mid-fluorescent - very cool, and so fun, but what color can you wear with it? back to the fit and fabric...the best ski pants I have ever tried on! soft, supple, slightly insulated (barely noticeable), and flattering front, behind and all over! I think you need to size up - I wear a 4 jeans, 6 ski pant and the 8(40) fit like they were tailored for me. If they go on sale, I'll probably get them as a second pair and worry about what to wear with them later.

flattering, looser fit

Mammut Robella Pant - Women's

Mammut Robella Pant - Women's

Fabric is great, pliable and a nice weight - insulated but not bulky. Oasis color seems to go with everything - royal blue, navy, all shades of purple and pink...styling has ample venting and pockets, really flattering for ski pants, however, I actually liked the fit of the Vail pant better (more fitted, less baggy all over) - just couldn't commit to the fluorescent orange color. I have size 40/8 and usually wear a 4 in pants, 6 in ski pants. Maybe they would have been less baggy in a 6 but I think the 6 would have been constricting (didn't try it, my store didn't have it). In the Vail, the 40/8 fit like a size 4/27 jean. I would size up as well.

great staple

Patagonia Synchilla Fleece Cardigan - Infants'

Patagonia Synchilla Fleece Cardigan - Infants'

we've bought every size since son was newborn (now 2). we use the vest indoors (in Vt) all winter over jammies or play clothes. the jacket runs true to size but our son is on the upper end of the growth chart (35lbs at 2). You do not need to buy larger as with most baby clothes. the fleece repels stains - we've never had a spill that didn't wash out. I usually buy up at end of season knowing he will wear the next size the following season (18 mos spring, 24 mos winter). we hand down the fleece and they come back in great condition). Note - the puffball jacket did not cover his belly- too tight and too short, but the fleece cardigan and vest are perfect
