Deuter Freeride Pro 30 Backpack - 1850cu in

Totally different class of pack then the blade. Vastly superior as far as weight distribution/support compared to the blade.

Deuter Freerider 26 Backpack - 1600cu in

most larger daypacks aroudn 30L are prefect for day outings. If you have room to spare in the pack, just tighten the compression straps. Its tough to add space to a pack - but easy to take it away.

Stick around 30L and you'll have plenty of room for your avy gear and some essentials for a day trip. Depending on how minimalist you are, even a 30L pack work on short overnighters if you plan proerply.

General notes

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

DAKINE Low Roller Snowboard Bag

Rating for this product: 3 March 23, 2011

Nice beefy zippers, decent padding. Good amount of room inside (175cm model) The only gripe would be that the boot pockets are small. I have to do a good luck dance to do up the zipper on those pockets. I have size 13 thirthy two boots. I also tried fitting in an old pair (size 12) forum destroyers, and it would not close on them (external size is slightly larger then the thirty two's despite being smaller size foot)

Dakine really needed to add 2cm to the boot pockets to make them friendly for snowboard boots - come on, you make a giant bag with boot pockets only big enough for little jimmy's size 10's?? weaksauce.

You'll fit two boards in there, but won't have much room for anything else. The bindings from the second deck would have to go in the middle of the first board, the boots will fill the end spaces in their compartments.
Length is pretty true. I have a 165 splitboard that fits with plenty of room end to end in the 175cm model.
