my daughter is 5'7" and weighs 130 lbs.and wears a size 6. A small was plenty of room so go for medium...we called Backcountry to confirm which size to make sure...go by the measurements for this product.

A most excellent jacket for snow, rain and really cold weather

I am writing this for my college student daughter who owns the jacket but isn't here to review in person. I just know she LOVES this jacket...she wears a size 6 on top and got a small and it fits perfectly...with room for layers beneath. It's super lightweight so it can mush down to a minimal lump if traveling...but it is very warm and cozy. It was an expensive jacket but it's the only one we could find that was waterproof and down...great combination. She lives near Boston and is in the city often...It is sporty with such clean lines that it fits an urban setting perfectly for all you fashion conscious women. But it is a trully substantial and excellent performance jacket both in the rain and the cold and snow...she's a California girl who is warm, cozy and dry now in Boston!
