I can't say if the manufacturer recommends using this in the dishwasher, but we've been washing them in the dishwasher for years with no problems (bottles and caps, open on the top rack). It's actually hard to get these clean without a bottle brush and elbow grease because your hand doesn't fit in the mouth of the 22oz bottles.
