Great boot for tough trails

I wore this boot for more than 300 miles of light trails to get in shape for the John Muir Trail. I then completed the JMT in 22 days (240 miles) in these boots. I had no blisters, no hot spots and I used no tape, bandaids, moleskin or anything other than 2 pair of good quality socks. These boots felt great every day and were rugged enough for every mile of very rocky trail. I wore a 35-40 pound pack for the entire trip and I weigh about 165. The 200+ lb. total was not too much for these boots. The other two friends on my trek also wore LOWA Renegades without problem. I have never had better boots - heavier or lighter.
