Perfect fit, great look, super comfy, high quality

KUHL Rydr Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 22, 2011

I fell in love with these pants the minute I put them on and have only grown more fond of them with time. They fit like they were custom made and the weight of the mercerized cotton makes them super comfy all year round. The high-quality stitching, the attention to detail – like two layers of fabric at the cuffs and pocket hems and the brass rivets – shows that the brand's priorities are in the right place. The smart phone pocket along the right thigh is another ingenious design feature that I really miss in my other pants.

I can highly recommend these if you're looking for a comfortable, durable, great looking pair of pants.

Works really well with skis. The loop at the bottom of each side and the fastex buckles at the top make on/off quick and easy.

Osprey Packs Variant 52 Backpack - 3000-3400cu in

February 16, 2011

In addition to the gear loops on the waist belt I used the ski loops on the side of the pack to rack gear. Easily accessible and out of the way. Works great.

Outstanding 8000m pack

Osprey Packs Variant 52 Backpack - 3000-3400cu in

Rating for this product: 5 February 16, 2011

I carried the Osprey Variant 52 on several overnight ski trips in the Mont Blanc range and due to its functionality and amazing comfort I chose it for an attempt on K2's Cesen Spur. It was there that I truly fell in love with this pack. The only modifications I made to the pack were cutting a couple of inches off the waistbelt straps and threading lightweight webbing through the gear loops on the back of the pack to hold crampons, tripod, tent, etc.The number one thing I loved most about the pack was the comfort. Shoulder straps and waist belt were the perfect combination of padding and low bulk and the more I carried the pack the more it felt like it was custom made for me. Even when heavily loaded I was stoked on how the pack fit so closely and lacked the 'swing' I normally get from other packs with high, heavy loads. The functionality of the pack is equally impressive. Ice axe storage is a clean and simple design that allowed me to access my tools without taking off my pack, which is a huge bonus for me. Just remember not to tighten the adjustable bungee around the shaft too tightly and if you use leashes, tuck them into the bungee so that they slide out along with your axe. This system worked perfectly for me and I was able to access my tools without taking off my gloves. Brilliant. The waist belt has great gear loops and I also used the ski loops on the sides of the pack to rack gear where it was still easily accessible and out of the way of my legs. And man, you gotta love the color, eh?Outstanding big mountain or overnight ski pack. Highly recommended.
