  • Stomping Grounds:

I'm either biking on the trails around Augusta, GA or hiking on Appalachain Trail (Usually the GA section)
  • Bio:

Well somehow I ended up with an office job in life, so to keep my sanity I have to occasionally run away to the wilderness to get away from everything. Nature is beautiful and you can easily forget that being in an office everyday.

MSR Annual Stove Maintenance Kit

August 2, 2011

Will this work for the pocket rocket? Even though it would almost be worth it to just buy another stove.

I LOVE THESE

Icebreaker Beast 150 Boxer Brief w/Fly - Men's

Icebreaker Beast 150 Boxer Brief w/Fly - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2010

Best pair of underwear i have ever had, period. They keep things where the need to be when you are hiking/backpacking, and they breath really well. I have worn these on a three day backpacking trip and they held up well with not much smell.
I do have to agree with R02138 on the short leg thing. It doesn't really bother me, but just to let you know they are short.

REALLY BRIGHT

Princeton Tec Amp Series Flashlight

Princeton Tec Amp Series Flashlight

Rating for this product: 4 October 28, 2010

I got the 5.0 of off SAC and it works great. It is a little bulky and heavy for backpacking, which is what I planned on using it for. I know it what drain the battery rather quickly but I wish there was a way to have the max bright led and the 3 ultrabright leds on at the same time. It would just be cool.

Great shirt

Icebreaker Beast 150 Apollo Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Icebreaker Beast 150 Apollo Crew - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2010

I love the feel of this shirt!! It fits great too. I am 6'2" with a small frame, so i usually have to comprimise between having shirts too short or too baggy but the small was long enough for me.

I purchased the bone color as well and it is a little see through.

Great shirt

I/O Bio Merino Universal T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

I/O Bio Merino Universal T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2010

I also own a ice breaker shirt which i paid twice as much for, and i can't tell much of a difference. It is comfortable, wicks away sweat, and dries very quickly. I use it as a baselayer for hiking and backpacking and it works great.

FYI on the size. I am 6'2" and have a small frame (150lbs) and i always have the problem of shirts being either too baggy or too short. But it ordered a small(after a quick prayer) and it fits great.

Great Light

Princeton Tec Quad Headlamp

Princeton Tec Quad Headlamp

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2010

It is really lite weight and the battery last a good while. The beam is also bright and powerful. The low battery light blinks when the battery is low even if not in use. I haven't decided yet it that is a good thing or just annoying.

Meh

Princeton Tec Fuel 4 Headlamp

Princeton Tec Fuel 4 Headlamp

Rating for this product: 3 October 28, 2010

This is lightweight and bright, however it can be a little difficult to adjust the angle of it. The end of the battery compartment that others are talking about has popped off once or twice but so far it still comes back on after I snap it back in place.
So bottom line: Spend a few more bucks and get the quad.

CamelBak FlashFlo Lumbar Pack - 170cu in

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2010

This is a great lite pack. It has compression straps so it doesn't bounce as much after you put snacks or what ever else in the storage compartment. I am 6'2" and i have no problem with the hose reaching my mouth.

Great Top...if you can get it on sale

Arc'teryx Rho LTW Zip-Neck Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 October 28, 2010

I got this for my girlfriend off of SAC. She loves it. They tend to run small so you might want to go a size up. From what she tells me it feels great, keeps her nice and warm, but also breaths well. It is a little pricey, but considering that it is merino wool its not so bad.

Stoic LTWT Step Sleeping Pad - Regular

October 27, 2010

Is this self inflating? I just got one off of SAC and it doesn't seem to be inflating after about an hour. I don't want to blow in it if I'm not supposed to(I heard it damages self infating mattresses).
