Most Reliable Stove on the Market

MSR XGK EX Multi-Fuel Stove

MSR XGK EX Multi-Fuel Stove

Rating for this product: 5 December 24, 2011

If your looking for a stove that will crank up white hot every time you light it this is your best bet. While its not the lightest stove on the market, this stove is made for reliable, durable, expedition use. I have so far used this stove for the past 3 years and it has never given me any problems while i do carry the expedition service kit which msr provides which includes every thing u could possibly need, I havent even used anything out of it since the day i first lit the stove up. Ive gone backpacking with my friends and they have had to use my stove when their jetboil got dropped and started leaking fuel bad. Best stove hands down.

Amazing Helmet!!!

Petzl Meteor III + Climbing Helmet

Petzl Meteor III + Climbing Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 December 24, 2011

This helmet is hands down the most comfortable helmet ive worn. Its lightweight, easily adjustable, and very well vented. Ive forgotten i had this helmet on before and drove all the way home from the crag with it on. It takes every reason to not wear a helmet out of the equation. Buy It!!

Best Draw ive Used!!!

Black Diamond LiveWire Quickdraw

Black Diamond LiveWire Quickdraw

Rating for this product: 5 December 24, 2011

So its obviously not the lightest one in the world but i must say its easy to clip easy to hang on and doesnt twist around like most thinner dyneema dogbones. The dogbone is durable and the carabiners have super smooth great action.

Best Jacket i've Worn!!!

Patagonia Down Sweater Full-Zip Hooded Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Down Sweater Full-Zip Hooded Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 24, 2011

I bought this jacket in November and havent taken it off since. I have taken this jacket on three camping trips and has spent 4 weekends at the crag with me. Its a great jacket to belay in or to hike in on the colder days. As far as durability goes i havent had any problems with holes or bad snagging. I actually returned my Eddie Bauer Downlight sweater for this because it was just warmer and doesnt leak down at all compared to the downlight sweater. For those of you wondering if its worth the 250$ or worth the extra 50$ for the hood, its the best money ive ever spent on a piece of my gear. 100% worth the money. Im 5' 11" and 145pounds and the medium fits me great and i still have room to layer a baselayer and fleece jacket underneath.

DMM Revolver Locking Carabiner

August 12, 2010

To awnser your question the carabiner's "pulley" would work in semi sandy conditions and possibly even very sandy conditions but if i were you i would stick with just getting a pulley because from what i have heard the "pulley" is too small and doesnt have enough surface area to be very efficient. I hope this helped.
