No. I promise you, as sure as rocks are fun to climb, there is no center mark on this rope. :)

Edelweiss Oxygen SuperEverDry Climbing Rope - 8.2mm
November 15, 2011
Would this rope make a good alpine/mountaineering rope? I'm looking for a lightweight dry-treated single line to use on alpine climbs, glacier travel and summits.

Eureka Forte SQ 2XT Tent: 2-Person 3-Season
November 8, 2011
The diameter of the poles for the Forte is twice that of your average backpacking tent, though that says nothing regarding the thickness of the aluminum, they seem to be sufficiently beefy. Also, comparing Kelty to Mountain Hardwear is like comparing Saturn to Ferrari...just saying, easy choice most of the time, your paying for quality, reliability and a good warranty.

Gregory Z 55 Backpack - 3050-3660cu in
February 18, 2010
Well, my camelbak 3 litre fits fine in the sleeve but it's hard to get it in there if the bag is packed. There are holes for your tube on either side and a nice elastic loop to secure the tube to the strap. Hope this helps!

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Jacket - Men's
February 14, 2010
Just a second....Well, it looks about 2 to 2.5 litres when compressed. Yes, I did just take it off and smoosh it in my arms.

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Jacket - Men's
February 14, 2010
I wear a medium T-shirt so I bought this in medium and it fits quite well. I can layer it under my Sub Zero jacket on a cold day and it doesn't feel too bulky. Under a shell it should work fine, if your not sure, REI has them so get over there and try them on with your jacket.

Mammut Monolith GTX Boot - Men's
January 31, 2010
There are subtle differences, the main one being that the monoliths have upgraded technologies. Raichle just basically changed it's name to Mammut and improved a number of things when they went from the All Degree Sl to the Monolith.

Mammut Monolith GTX Boot - Men's
January 31, 2010
If you're looking for DEDICATED winter boots, don't buy these. Buy a pair with a plastic shell (like a pair of Scarpas). These boots have Gore Tex but the leather on the outside soaks up melted snow all day and freezes to ice when you wake up in the morning. You also want a boot that's a bit warmer. These will keep your feet warm pretty well but will also keep you comfortable in 60 degree weather, they're made to be flexible. You might find a plastic boot with removable liners.

Mammut Monolith GTX Boot - Men's

What removable liner? I've only had these for a few months but I'm pretty sure there isn't a removable liner in them. Also, you can buy them for $180 on Amazon.com from Altrec. Save you $70.
