These are the most expensive boots I have ever purchased and I spent around 3 months deliberating and trying to talk myself into buying them. Finally found them at a decent price and I couldn't be happier. As well as being a darn good looking boot they are by far the most sturdy, comfortable, and high quality boots I've ever owned. I guess you get what you pay for. I actually look forward to putting them on and lacing them up in the morning. They are that comfortable. I have hiked in slippery conditions with them and have not had any of the traction issues that so many others have reported. I love the fact that they are resolable and the cutout near the ankle on the boot allows for great flexibility without compromising ankle support. My least favorite thing about the boot is their weight. I say least favorite because I really hate to write it off as a con because with a boot this sturdy and durable one can't expect them to be featherweight. Overall I love this boot and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a serious backpacking boot that they intend to own for many years and have resoled instead of just trashing it once the sole is gone. I'd still recommend the boot to someone who isn't really into serious long distance or heavy load backpacking because it can't hurt to have a great versatile boot for dayhikes etc. That being said, if you're more of a dayhike or overnight camping kind of person don't be apprehensive about saving yourself some money and going with something less grand. Lastly I'd just like to mention that if you're like me and constantly go out of your way to buy a product that isn't stapled together in some dungeon factory in China by 12 year olds, you'll feel great knowing that this boot was made in Italy by a family owned company with some wonderful outdoor history...that alone justifies the price of these boots for me.

Bought this off SandC for a decent price. It's a great bivy very well made and roomy. However, if you go searching the web to find reviews and videos before you buy be careful what you believe. Nemo has altered the design of this tent over and over looking for weight savings and such, so depending on the year of the model you receive, the features will not be true to what you read on Nemo's website or others. First of all and most dissapointing to me is the fact that Nemo eliminated the bottom grommet on this tent (on the foot end of the tent You can insert a stick to create a "swallowtail" effect, increasing airflow and keeping the tent taught and off your sleeping bag. Upon receiving the tent and assembling it I couldn't understand why there was no bottom grommet for which to place the other end of the stick. I figured it must have been a defect in manufacturing because there was simply nothing to hold the other end of the stick. I called Nemo and after a few days they called me back and told me that Nemo eliminated the bottom grommet feature to "save weight" I'm all for saving weight but come one people. I'd certainly lug around one extra grommet attached to the tent to be able to increase airflow in my tent significantly. I was told by the Nemo lady that you have to stick the other end of the stick into the ground, or if sleeping on a hard or rocky spot you simply could not use the swallowtail feature. I found this to be a very stupid decision on Nemo's behalf. Next I noticed that the pictures on Nemo's website were contradicting each other. On on photo of the tent it clearly shows the side door feature (which is an excellent idea on Nemo's behalf) but in the next photo of the tent, the side door simply doesn't exist! The lady told me that Nemo had put this photo up which is of the old Gogo Model to show the difference in models.....gee thanks for spelling that out on your website Nemo. The next problem I have with this tent is no big deal, but rather irritating to learn of after watching videos of the tent and reading reviews. The stuff sack included with the Gogo cannot be integrated into the tent like videos on the internet show. In the end the only problem I really have with the design of the tent is the lack of a grommet to insert the swallowtail stick into. What makes me very upset is Nemo's lack of responsibility and detail on their website. One should be able to look at a tent on a makers website and know that the features shown will be included with the tent. Also it wouldn't hurt to take close up detailed images of the features on the tent and explain to all visitors in the description of the tent that "if buying a previous model one can expect a difference in this feature, that feature...blah blah blah" The tent is great (except for the fact that some "uberlite" lunatic decided to butcher what was in my oppinion, one of the selling points of this tent. I love the product but I can't understand why getting accurate information on it has to be so akin to pulling teeth.

Great jacket. Nice fit. Lots of pockets. Underarm vents with taped zippers. BUT....for the price I expect all the zippers to be taped.

Bought this to hold my clothes on a trip through the White Mountains on the AT. Very simple to use. Excellent quality, and saves so much space in your pack. I can't comment on how waterproof the fabric is but I've heard good things. Besides, if all you're doing with it is using it on a hiking trip chances are it'll be in your pack most of the time anyhow. Great product overall.

Bought this stove for a trip through the White Mountains on the AT. I've never had much experience with stoves so I wanted something which was pretty idiot-proof. BINGO! This stove was excellent. Setup is quick, the stove is light, and this thing boils water VERY fast. The thought that went into this stove is evident. You don't need to carry your fuel in a separate place in your pack because it fits right inside the cup, just as does all the parts that come with this stove! No need to bring a cup, the lid has a sippy thingy on it as well as a strainer. I enjoyed many cups of tea with this stove and it fulfilled all of my needs. The only meal I cooked on my trip was dinner, followed by tea and the fuel canister lasted about a week and a half. Plenty of time to get into town and resupply.

I debated whether or not to get this pack for some time. I knew that Arcteryx builds some of the best packs out there, and I THOUGHT i wanted something huge. Finally got over the price and bought it for a trip i took on the AT through the White Mountains. I was stoked on the pack initially. This pack is very near waterproof though I purchased a pack shelter just to be certain. Build quality is second to none, though the zippers Arcteryx used on the pack were a bit overkill I thought, seeing as this is a heavy pack to begin with I think they could have done a few things to cut the weight down as much as possible. My only real complaint with the pack was that every 15 minutes or so it became necessary to readjust the hipbelt. For whatever reason the nylon straps slip on this hipbelt (at least on my pack) When you're hiking up the north side of Mt. Moosilauke in a downpour the last thing you want to be thinking about is adjusting the hipbelt on your pack. At first I didn't think much of this problem but by the end of the trip I was very irritated- This is a VERY EXPENSIVE backpack. One of the most expensive you can buy if I'm not mistaken, and when I drop almost 500 bucks on a product I expect it to be near flawless! Arcteryx really needs to work on their hipbelt issue. (I've heard others complain of slipping hipbelts) Other than this very bothersome flaw in the packs viability the only thing I can say to someone about to purchase it is this, DON'T EXPECT ALOT OF OPTIONS FOR GEAR. This pack was made for someone who wants to get to point A to point B with a truckload of gear and do it comfortably. Aside from the hipbelt the pack does this job well. But if you're someone who wants to thru hike the AT or do any kind of hiking where you're constantly setting your pack down to attend to blisters, filter water, get rain gear, change your socks, don't expect this pack to have lots of small/medium size pockets in different locations for easy access to this gear. There is a large pocket in the brain of the pack, but other than that pouch and the one on the underside of the brain, you're going to be unclipping, unzipping, and unpacking quite often to get at what you want. ASIDE FROM THE HIPBELT this is a very high quality pack built for a specific task and one should keep this in mind if thinking about purchasing it. I would have given it 4 stars but the hipbelt was such a letdown. COME ON ARCTERYX! I EXPECT A $435 DOLLAR PACK'S HIPBELT TO STAY TIGHT!!!!!

Bought one of these for my first aid kit and toothbrush etc. on a hike through the White Mountains. The bag works great...that is it holds your stuff. But I found myself wondering why I didn't just stick my stuff in a Ziploc. Will work great if you want to color code stuff in your pack with all kinds of little bags, but essentially all it is is a glorified plastic bag.
