i got the dakine concourse double ski bag an my 189 hellbents fit perfect with room for my gear... 179 should fit with plenty of room

189 for sure. i ski the 189 & am the same hight as you & couldn't be happier. the ski much shorter due tothe huge rockers! hope this helps..

So with that said, whats the most versatile oakley snow goggle lense out there? Is it the VR28?

First season on the Hellbents is coming to an end.

Just wanted to post a review which I normally don't do, but this ski deserves it!

I waited two years to pick these up, wasn't sure if they were for me. Boy was I wrong!!
I'm 5'11 & 195lbs & after a long debate I went with the 189 & could not have made a better choice.. whish I got them sooner.
Thanks for all the feedback from you all..mounted them with griffons +3 & couldn't be happier.

Right of of the box you take a double look when you see the size of these monsters... my first though was that they were kind of intimidating, which is far from true on the mountain! This ski feels much shorter then its size for obvious reasons, the huge rocker.
I have skied these in deep pow, crud, groomers, bumps... this ski does it all! Very fast and very stable. If you choose to make some gs turns, you can with no problems...roll them over on their edge & enjoy the ride! They are so much fun I'm looking for a pair for my wife for next season as well.

Ok so if you are like me, you're probobly thinking do I really want to spend 100+ dollars on gloves?!
The answer is YES! I'm not a product rep...I don't work for Backcountry & I never post reviews untill now.
This is by far the best glove on the market & worth every penny. Had these out skining anyweher from the Alps to the Rockies & also small garbage hill dumps around the midwest. Measure your hand for the perfect fit & these babies will feel like they were factury sewn just for you. These are more like a good investment.. don't think twice, pick these up!

Is this a solid binding fpr the price?
Loooking for something for my 189 hellbents thats not gonna break the bank & still preform well. I never set my din over 12.. Im 5'10/195lbs and pretty aggressive skier.

Or is there a differnt bining you guys recommend?

So ended up getting the 189 which now means I need another ski bag!

Has anyone bought one for these monsters? I'm looking for one with rollers & nice padding! I went with a cheap one a long time ago & it lasted for one trip...not doing that again!

So the big question! 179 or 189?

I've been always sking on 174/179 with ease & anywhere from the alps to the rockies. I'm 5'11 & 200lbs & sking & snowboarding most of my life. This is will be my first rocker ski so i dont want to f___ this up!

Should i go with the 189 due to the large rocker? Is the 179 gonna feel short? Will I regret not going with the 189 & end up putting the 179 for sale next year?
Demo is out of the question for me at this point... Please Help! Thanks!
