Mountain Hardwear Transition Softshell Jacket - Women's

January 28, 2010

I'm typically a size 10-12 with average length torso and slightly longer arms. I got size L, and it fits perfectly with room for a non-bulky fleece or wool underneath.

Mountain Hardwear Transition Softshell Jacket - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Transition Softshell Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 28, 2010

This softshell is far lighter/thinner than I expected, and at first I was disappointed, ready to return it. However, it feels so good on, fits well, looks nice, love the sleeve cuffs, and its Windstop technology combined with how compact and light it is in the backpack makes it a GREAT piece of gear on not-so-cold days. I love it now. Its a keeper. AND I got it for a great price on S&C. Just be aware it isn't a "WARM" layer, its a "WINDBLOCK" layer. If you are looking for warm layers, go for heavier bulkier softshells or fleece.
