Mion Current Sandal - Men's

Mion Current Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

For anyone with Plantar issues, who refuse to give up long walks and hikes, these sandals are perfectly designed. They are similar to Birkenstock design, but with a more interesting and modern delivery. Try a pair, and you're hooked!

Salomon XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon XA Pro 3D XCR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2007

If you want to buy a single shoe for all those unanticipated hiking and running opportunities, these are the only option.

Put these on when you board your flight, or climb in the car. Wherever you arrive, and whatever you find there, this shoe will handle it with style and support.

I recently ended up in the Southwest on a business trip, and thankfully wore these as my travel shoes. At the end of my four days in the region I had climbed a total of 12,000 vertical feet (some technical), forded countless washes and streams, ran 15 miles and attended three interminable boring meetings. I didn't bother wearing the shoes to the meetings.

Without these shoes I would have been staring at those mountains from a conference room instead of scree scrambling like a madman.

Do yourself a favor and buy these puppies!

Arc'teryx Blaze Zip Long-Sleeve - Men's

Arc'teryx Blaze Zip Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 29, 2006

Arc'teryx is a tough act to follow. No matter what you choose from their various lines, you will never make a bad choice.
This long sleeve is light as air, yet warm as a campfire. The best first layer out there.

You'd better be cold to wear this one

Arc'teryx Covert Collar Zip - Men's

Another brilliant piece of warmth from the best outfitter line available. The first time I put this on (in the Maritime Provinces of Canada) I was sweating in sub-freezing temps. I can't wait to break this out during the next blizzard!
