I bought this pack mainly for rock-climbing trips, but I also wanted to use it for regular traveling and flights. I originally bought the z65, but people said it would be too large to fit in the overhead compartments, so I returned it and got the z55. However, it turns out the z55 and z65 are the exact same height, it's just the diameter that's different. They will both fit perfectly in the overhead bin and will not need to be stored horizontally (and I have the large). This is a big deal now with all the ridiculous charges to check bags.

Otherwise, it's a comfortable, sturdy pack. My only complaint is that there are no water bottle holders on the side.
