keeping warm wearing a long down coat - mainly womens ones cause they just don't do long enougth ones for men - any you just cannot have enough down coats i've got over 20 and growing

James's My Down Coat Collection

I really love Long Down Coats but being a guy have to get women's ones - this doesn't matter cause i just don't mind and most look great - they are comfortable and warm.

I've now got over 25 coats now and wear a different one nearly every day, also a but of a serial coat buyer the collection is expanding in additional to these 5 great coats below i have ..

2 Uniqlo
2 Kathmandu
2 Helly Hansen
1 Esprit
5 H&M
2 Land's End
and 4 or 5 from less know brands

I'm a guy and have a fair few long down coats (too many but i really like them!) - Anyway I have this and the triple-c and they are both fine on guys - the only thing with the metropolis is the pockets are a little high for my liking - Others I have are Marmot Montreux, Columbia Luxey among others - just don't understand why there are not more mens long down coats

is this years triple-c the same material as the metropolis? - the last couple of years have been a duller material - this looks much shinier - i much prefer the metropolis finish - but prefer the longer length

yes - i've got two (2005 and 2006) version - the 2005 version is more feminine but i still really like it - i've also got a Mamot Montreux, Columbia Luxey Bliss and the TNF Metropolis - just love wearing long down coats.

Columbia Luxey Bliss Long Down Jacket - Women's

been wanting one of these for a loooong time and now managed to get my hands on one. love the long arms and high collar and seems really warm. Zip could be a bit chunkier and the hood does not have any drawstrings and the outer material is duller than hoped - really like that TNF metropolis parka type finish - but cannot complain - this is one of the best long down coats i've come across.

Couldn't agree more John - i have a Triple C and a Metropolis and love wearing them and think they look great - I also have a couple of other long coats (GAP and Landsend) - i just don't understand why there are not more mens long down coats - as for the transit jacket here - probably be ok on a man - personally i prefer the longer versions - in fact i have also lately got a white one which takes a bit more courage to wear but i still think i looks great

Hi I'm male and have one of these coats - got it a couple of seasons back and really love it - at first it took a bit of courage to wear it publically, it's a little fitted and therefore looks a bit feminine but it fine - I've got the odd look now and then bit also had a number of complements of how good it looks. It's a shame there are not more long down coats of men - I have also just brought a north face metropolis jacket - a bit shorter than the triple-c and I feel very confident wearing it. This year my girlfriend got a Columbia Women Luxey Bliss Long Down Jacket in white - now that is a really feminine coat and long but when we are out together makes my triple-c look like a mans coat.
