Armada Reckoning Jacket - Men's

Armada Reckoning Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 27, 2012

Ordered this jacket because I lost my favorite one just prior to a ski trip. It arrived and I was thoroughly impressed what the lightweight, quite material the jacket was made out of. I really dug the integrated iPod port on the inside of the jacket that allowed your cords to pass through the layers of the jacket, rather than be on the outside. The hood was the perfect size to fit over my Bern Hard Hat with ease. The color was SLAMMIN! Was super stoked about the bright green, which is highly visible. However, because I read the sizing chart wrong, I ordered a small instead of a medium. The jacket arrive and it was of course too small. By the time I went to reorder the same jacket in a bigger size, they were out of the Lime color. I bought the Moss, of which I currently have, but it's not my favorite color scheme. Colors aside, that jacket is great! Keeps you warm, functional and stylish all at the same time! A+

Words can't Describe

Outdoor Research Primo Glove - Men's

Outdoor Research Primo Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

Words can't describe the love that i have for these gloves. I searched high and low for several years trying to find that PERFECT glove. With the OR Primo, I found it! It fits my hand the way a glove should fit; not too tight, but not too loose; not to bulky, but not too thin. The first time you put it on, you'll think it's too much insulation, but after the very first full day use, the insulation conforms to your hand and pretty much stays that way for the rest of the life of the gloves. I have two pair, one with gauntlets and one with out. They both work really well. I wouldn't trade these for anything on the market right now, and I would be severely upset if I ever lost them. Toasty fingers that don't sweat is what you're gonna get with the OR Primo Glove.

Best Pack Ever

Osprey Packs Atmos 35 Backpack - 1900-2300cu in

Osprey Packs Atmos 35 Backpack - 1900-2300cu in

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

This is by far the best pack that I have every used - and I have been through a lot of packs. This pack has little compartments everywhere to help you organize your gear. It is big enough to store my BC shovel, probe, extra clothing/accessories, beacon, and a little lunch, plus a compatible camel bak.;

I also use this as my school backpack and it is rocking out like a champ. Put it through some serious abuse and it's got not a single tear or stain in the entire pack.

Great size, light weight, easily usable. MUST BUY!

CamelBak Lobo Hydration Pack - 200cu in

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

This is a great pack for short day trips of hiking, biking, and skiing. Due to the way they designed this thing, When I used it for skiing, the water stayed cold and not frozen. The pack was easily integrate able into my Osprey pack. Worked like a champ. Easy to clean at the end of the day was another major plus as well.

Shred Daddy

4FRNT Skis CRJ Ski

4FRNT Skis CRJ Ski

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

These stix are the best that I've ridden in a while. They are very light and responsive. They are great for almost all parts of the mountain, piste included. They are however, a little difficult to deal with on piste because of the width of the ski. I found that they worked better in the BC, Powdery Bowls, and the Park. They had the right amount of swing weight built in, it wasn't too over powering, but it wasn't so whimpy that you didn't know it was there. The pop on them, as well as the flexion is incredible. I would suggest these to anyone. They truly are a one-ski-quiver.

GoPro Ride Hero Bike Mounting Clamp

GoPro Ride Hero Bike Mounting Clamp

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

Dude.... these things were slick! They came in perfectly for exactly what I was needing to use them for - mounting my GoPro to my ski poles.

Fit right around the bar. Stayed secure. Help my camera. Allowed me to get some reverse shots. Money well spent.

Necessity

GoPro Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery

GoPro Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

This is a necessity to have if you're out on the hill for any longer than 2.5-3hrs. If you only have one batter, you have about a half days supply of constant footage. If you have two, you have just about the perfect amount of supply, but I always bring three just in case. Again, a must have!

GoPro Chest Mount

GoPro Chest Mount Harness

GoPro Chest Mount Harness

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2012

Bought this so I would have yet another place to mount the camera to get different shots. It works great! Seeing as how most of the movement is done below the hips, the camera sways very little, allowing you to get a fairly shake-less shot. I recommend to anyone with a GoPro!!

Chest Mount

GoPro Chest Mount Harness

GoPro Chest Mount Harness

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2012

Didn't really get to play with it all that much because I was fooling around with a dozen other mounting techniques, but from the few times that I did use it, the shots were amazing! Super comfortable, adjustable, and easy to use.

If you want a fixed body mount, and a picture that won't move (as opposed to when it's on your helmet) then get the GoPro Chest Mount. Money well spent!

GoPro Rechargeable Battery

GoPro Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2012

It's just like any other battery you've bought. Rechargeable, long-lasting, and comes in handy when filming all day and you need to keep the juices flowing. I suggest everyone buy and extra battery to just be on the prepared side!

Rossignol S5 Ski

March 28, 2011

I'm a big fan of Marker myself. I have the Griffon Schizo mounted on Line Blend 183's. If you don't weight more than 190lbs you shouldn't need anything with a higher din setting than 4-12 no matter what you're doing. I like the variability the Schizo's offer. If I'm in the park I can move the bindings up to get that centered feel and if I'm in the BC then I can swing them back to hit the tail.

The questions to ask yourself are:
1) How much do you weigh?
2) What's your ability?
3) What's your purpose? (Park, BC, All Mountain, etc.)

From there, read some forums like:
http://www.epicski.com
http://www.skiingforum.com
http://www.newschoolers.com

That should be plenty for you to make your decision.
