Arc'teryx Naos 70 Backpack - 4270-4640cu in

Arc'teryx Naos 70 Backpack - 4270-4640cu in

Expensive? Yeah, but this is an investment you cannot afford to miss out on. Arcteryx packs are rivaled by no one when it comes to comfort and suspension. The pack itself does run a little heavier than other packs --- but the suspension makes it a moot point. You do not fatigue from a poor fitting pack or a load that transfers all over your torso.... I've had that happen with other packs. You'll need to get used to a top loader if you have not used one -- but they force you to simplify and put thought into the way you pack. This pack is an all around winner. You cannot lose with it. It will run you some dough --- but you should have it forever.

Black Diamond Skylight Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Black Diamond Skylight Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 August 20, 2007

Tent capacity: Without a doubt, this is a two person tent. Three people in emergency only. Tent set-up: I've owned a couple of BD ultra light tents that set up from inside. They are without rival for ease of use once you set them up a few times. The Skylight takes a little more time due to its odd three pole design but once you do it a few times, you'll love it. Breathability: Breathes well, but not as well as the firstlight I had been using. If you are able to keep the top rolled back you'll have no issues... When you have to extend out the vestibule and rain fly you'll have some challenges with condensation. Weight/Packability: Awesome. Lightweight. Very packable. Seam sealing: Everyone is afraid of the seam sealing. It's not a big deal. You need to take your time. If done right, no problem. Have patience --- this tent is worth it.

BUY THIS STOVE

MSR DragonFly Stove

MSR DragonFly Stove

Rating for this product: 5 August 20, 2007

I've had the dragonfly for 6 years. During those 6 years I've tested and sold other stoves from Vaude, Snow Peak, Coleman etc. I have yet to find a stove that is as durable and versatile. Great temp control. EASY SET-UP. Use it all year long. Handles several fuels. I cannot say enough. Time and time again I come back to using this stove. Electronic starters on other stoves are nothing more than a gimmic. Don't get wrapped up in them. They do not work half the time anyway. Fuel canisters are a pain in the butt. You always end up with half used canisters laying around. With the dragonfly you can refill your fuel bottles. You'll end up happy you bought this stove, do not let price deter you.
