Patagonia Classic Retro-X Jacket - Men's

Patagonia Classic Retro-X Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 21, 2010

A functional, well-made fleece jacket. It blocks the cold winds here in Vermont with no problem at all. My only gripe is regarding the sizing. The cut seems larger than other Patagonia models, especially around the midsection. I know they advertise it as having a "regular" fit, but if you are trim it ends up being a relaxed fit around the abdomen and arms. The extra size would be useful for layering, but I have been plenty warm with just a t-shirt underneath. I'm 5'8" / 145lbs and wear a medium. You will look sharp in this jacket.

Dynastar PX 12 Lifter Wide Ski Binding

May 21, 2010

Yes. These would be a great choice. You could also try the non-wide PX 12 Lifter with a brake width of 90mm, which would fit more snuggly around your 88mm-waisted Mythic Riders.

Outdoor Research Credo Softshell Jacket - Men's

May 10, 2010

I'm 5'8" / 145lbs and wear a medium comfortably, but the cut is definitely longer than some other brands out there like Patagonia.

Too large.

Smith Prodigy Goggle

Rating for this product: 3 May 10, 2010

No complaints regarding the lenses - the sensor mirror is great for low light and the platinum mirror does the job on bluebird days - but the sizing may not work for most. I believe they would be better suited for a large-xlarge face, but the frame still seems over-sized as they protrude forward quite a bit (They do have a large visual field). Also, the foam started separating from one my pairs after only 20 days of use with a helmet.

Agreed.

Smith Phenom Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 May 10, 2010

The majority has spoken: these are great, affordable goggles. I always used to complain about flat light, but not anymore thanks to Smith's sensor mirror lens. After 30+ days of use, they show few signs of wear. These fit my small-medium sized face much better than the larger Smith Prodigy.

Dynastar PX 12 Lifter Wide Ski Binding

Dynastar PX 12 Lifter Wide Ski Binding

Rating for this product: 5 March 16, 2010

Mounted nicely on my Dynastar Big Troubles (92mm underfoot). I'm 145lbs and have the DIN set at 7.5. They release when they should, but no sooner. Great feel while riding.
