Stomping Grounds:
Alta, UT. Best snow in the world, no boarders, expert terrain. It's perfect (if only it had a terrain park). -
Bio:
All I need is some fresh powder in the morning and it doesn't matter if its 15 below 0, I'll be out there. Live for fresh snow, big air, and charging hard whether in the park or all over the mountain.

Ben Zonon's Daily Skiing Gear
Created March 3, 2010
The gear I use all year, whether skiing in upstate New York or Alta, UT. My idea for this gear list was focused on light weight and layering, so I could be ready for any weather situation. Also, I use the line chronic cryptonite, not the regular chronic, which provides a bit more all mountain capability.

Orage JP Auclair/Retallack Jacket - Men's

I'm 5'11 and 160, got the XL and think it's perfect...I like it pretty darn baggy though. You could probably get away with either but if you want it a bit longer get the XL.

Hey guys,
So I'm 5'11 and 155 lbs...only 19 though so I'm still gonna grow a far amount and a pretty expert big mountain skier. Would the 179 or 189 be better?

Full Tilt First Chair Ski Boot - Men's
November 7, 2010
The only difference is that the Full Tilt Seth Morrison has a rubber bootboard which absorbs impact and vibration, as opposed to the First Chair's rigid bootboard which allows for better feel of snow.

Definitely the Pro...better line (gold vs. silver ID liner) and much more customizable. Also comes with a stiffer flex which will be perfect for shredding pow lines at Snowbird

Hey guys!
So fortunately I got a job working at Alta this year, and I want to get a pair of powder skis to go with my chronic cryptonites (best ski ever by the way). Do you think I would be better off with the EP Pros or the Sir Francis Bacon if pretty much all my time is gonna be spent in bounds? Thanks!

Full Tilt Seth Morrison Pro Model Ski Boot - Men's
September 29, 2010
Is there any reason that BC.com only has these in stock in half sizes? My old full tilts were a 26 mondo and that was the perfect size for me? Do you think I should go with a 25.5 or a 26.5?

Armada Plasma Pant - Men's
April 27, 2010
So normally I always wear a medium whenever I buy stuff, which is a little baggy but not too over the top. I really want these pants in lime green though, and the only size they have here is a large. Think it would be too baggy for a more "backcountry" kind of guy? I'm 5'11 also...

Anybody know if Backcountry.com is gonna get more shipments of these pants (particularly the lime green). Or if there is another good site I could buy them from since I'm a medium?

the 172cm is 1615g, which is the same weight as the prophet 90...weird. at least thats the specs on the line skis website. you would think that the flite would be lighter cause it has no metal

much more forgiving than the other prophet's, because it doesn't have any metal in it. Unless you're a complete beginner, this ski is perfect

Do you think this boot would also be good in the park. I ski about 75% all mountain and 25% park, and only do medium jumps and boxes. Would it be better to get the konflict or hot dogger??

Would this also be good all mountain. I ski about 75% all mountain (nothing too gnarly but pretty expert terrain) and 25% park. would this boot be alright for that?
