Stomping Grounds:
San Juan Mountains of SW Colo., SE Utah primarily -
Bio:
I moved to Durango in 1994 for the mountain biking and to start out living in a small mountain town instead of hoping to retire to one someday. I used to climb much more, now I boulder mostly, and I am a former raft guide. I've just discovered stand-up paddleboarding on the Animas River and love to go! The winters here have brought me to love getting outdoors on snow as much as possible. We have two kids, a VW Syncro Vanagon, and a Malamute (Neve). I founded Verde PR & Consulting (www.verdepr.com), an outdoor, snowsports and bike PR agency. We have offices in Durango and Boulder, Colo., and Jackson Hole, Wyo. Backcountry.com is one of our clients.
