Blizzard Bonafide Ski

October 26, 2011

Hi guys, I am looking at changing my everyday skis, and am hesitating between the Hell and back in 185 and the blizzard Bonafide in 187.
I am 5'11", 210 lbs, aggressive skiers and I like to go explore the side country, with occasional backountry trips.
Would you have any good reco?
Thanks!

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

September 13, 2011

Brennan, you shouldn't even be afraid about the size... I am 5'11" and the 183 are nearly too short... The roccker in tip and tails makes it ski way shorter than what you may think. And the longer the better in the deep!

Atomic Bent Chetler Ski

September 22, 2010

So I just decided on getting those babies. now looking for the right bindings mounting spot.
I am thinking about the Salomon STH 14, but not sure on where to mount it. Center? or a bit back? I intend to ski those primarily as my big powder ski, not that much for skiing switch...
Thanks for the insight!

Smith Prophecy Replacement Goggle Lens

September 13, 2010

Are those lenses for the prophecy compatible with last year Prodigy? The prodigy seems to have disappeared from Smith line this year, and I understand that the prophecy is the replacement goggle.
Any idea?

Atomic Blog Ski

September 3, 2010

Jacob, I demoed them last year after a snow storm in BCC, and it was lots of fun anywhere!!! Great float on powder - Really really fun that day in honeycomb canyon. Still, they were also behaving great on groomed runs. Very easy to turn, kinda feel like a Giant slalom ski. You push toward the edge and here it goes, no need to be super pushy on them, they will follow any of your impulses!

Enjoy!

Salomon Czar Ski

August 22, 2010

Hey guys,
I am hesitating between these in 182 and the Atomic 185 Blog. I demoed both last year and had a blast on both...
I am 6' 210Lbs expert skiing and I do ski anywhere on the mountains depending on whom I am skiing with....
I do have a pair of Xwings fury in 177 and a Crossmax 8.9 in 175 for hard pack days or early season.
Live in Utah, so pow is not an issue.
Really enjoy skiing big powder bowls as well as tree lines...
Any recommendation?
Cheers!

Probably the best ski pants I've owned

Salomon Wildfire Pant - Men's

Salomon Wildfire Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 17, 2009

Those are probably the best ski pants I've ever owned. I used to wear Columbia Titanium line, but was pretty disappointed with the durability and quality of it.
Those salomon pants are super confy, keep you warm and dry, and are full of small details that make the difference, like the magnetic closure on the side pocket!!
I highly recommand it for whoever is looking for a great do-it-all, all season pants!
