I am 5'7" and about 130 lbs and bought a medium. They fit great and were nice and warm! The top of the pants were above my hips so they were by no means hip huggers.

I wore this a couple weekends ago in Ireland and it was perfect! It rained almost the whole time and was really cold but I stayed dry and warm!
