Goldilocks Pants

Patagonia Traverse Pant - Women's

Patagonia Traverse Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 25, 2009

I call these my Goldilocks pants because after trying many different brands and types of pants, these are "just right." Not too slim, not too baggy, they're the perfect shell for all of my outdoor cooler weather pursuits. I originally got them to wear over my bike shorts for some wind protection and warmth, but find myself wearing them all the time - by themselves for yoga class, with a pair of long underwear for hiking and for my bike rides of course. The fabric is nice and the cut is great on me. The only caveat is for taller gals: I'm 5'3, 125 lbs. and the length is perfect (size M). However, taller women might find these cut a bit on the short side.

Flattering and versatile

Lolë Sensible Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Lolë Sensible Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 24, 2009

I bought this to wear to a wedding paired with a skirt and boots and it worked great! It works well for almost anything and I've received many compliments on it. I also wish the sleeves were cut a little slimmer toward the wrists, but like the other reviewer commented, you can roll and button them up to 3/4 length. Wish they offered more colors. The dark teal is a nice color.

Not too flattering on me

Patagonia Margot Long-Sleeve Dress - Women's

Patagonia Margot Long-Sleeve Dress - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 November 17, 2009

Looked cute in the photo, but this just didn't work for me. I'm 5'3, 125 lbs. and it just made me look a little frumpy (maybe because I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size up). Might work for a taller gal though.

Wish it would have worked

Columbia Ashtanga Skirt - Women's

Columbia Ashtanga Skirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 June 26, 2009

This skirt looked and felt so comfortable, but it was too big in the waist. With no drawstring or way of making it smaller, I had to send it back. I have a larger hip to waist ratio and size mediums work well for me in most styles, but unfortunately this wasn't one of them. Too bad, the length was perfect and the fabric great - but I'll stick with Prana's Bliss skirt, which works better for me.

KUHL Komfort V Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

KUHL Komfort V Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 2, 2009

This is a cute top and the fabric is very soft and stretchy - very comfortable and flattering on me. A bit pricey, but you can really dress it up or down. Wish it came in more colors.

Great base layer - size up

SmartWool Midweight Top - Women's

SmartWool Midweight Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 19, 2009

I'm so happy to have found Smartwool's baselayers this winter. I've been a fan of their socks for a while now. The midweight shirts are perfect layered under a fleece and a shell for most of my outdoor activities. They're soft, warm and flattering with a feminine fit. You might want to size up, though - they seem to run a little on the small side. I'm usually a medium, but always buy large in this brand.

Nice little tank

Horny Toad Ziggy Tank Top - Women's

Horny Toad Ziggy Tank Top - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 August 5, 2008

This is a comfy little tank. The longer length keeps me covered in my yoga classes, but I'd agree with the reviewer that said the front may come too low for ladies better endowed than myself. It's a bit awkward to put on, but fits nicely. A keeper!

didn't care for fabric

Columbia Free Mind Shirt Short-Sleeve - Women's

Columbia Free Mind Shirt Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 August 5, 2008

I thought the fabric would be lighter in this tee (like the Columbia brand Rambler t-shirt I got earlier in the season, which is great), but it's a little too heavy for summer, I think. The black color had a slight shine to it, which I didn't care for. The fit was a little uncomfortable, too, so I'm going to have to send this one back unfortunately.

Great pants!

prAna Cascade Pant - Women's

prAna Cascade Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2004

I love Prana pants because of the adjustable waist (which I need because of my difficult-to-fit shape). The Casacade pant is no exception. It has a flattering shape, comfortable material(even if it does have a bit of a "shine"), and takes you anywhere - hiking or eating out. The pants were a bit long on me (and can't be hemmed because of the zipper), but are fine with shoes. Wish they made these in stretch denim!

A nice workout pant

prAna Asana Pant - Women's

prAna Asana Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 November 22, 2004

The fit on the Asana pant is nice and relaxed for yoga practice or casual wear. The fabric is soft yet substantial and doesn't cling like a lot of pants do. Wish they made these in petite sizes so we shorter folks didn't have to hem them, but a great workout pant!
