Mountain Hardwear Nitrous Down Jacket - Men's

December 27, 2009

Down jackets are made to be big. They are built to be worn over many layers. A small should be appropriate, but check the size chart to make sure the sleeves won't be too short.

Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Down Parka - Men's

December 27, 2009

Down Jackets usually are not waterproof, rather they are water resistant meaning that they can stand up to a mist or light drizzle. Down turns to "pancake batter" in the rain and is useless when wet.

La Sportiva Venom Climbing Shoe

December 27, 2009

This shoe has a more aggressive instep than the optimus prime, meaning that your foot will be better angled to grip the wall. This makes shoe size all the more important. It is best to take your sneaker size and drop it down half a size. If your sneaker is a 42.5 go with the 42.

Black Diamond Guiding Light Tent 4-Person 4-Season

Black Diamond Guiding Light Tent 4-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 December 13, 2009

Woke up this morning to freezing rain and was happy to find that the single wall EPIC was dry as ever! Been using this for the past year, took it to Mt. Washington and was able to fit four 6ft ppl in it without any trouble. A hint: keep a few inches open at the top of each door and it will prevent any breath-ice from forming on the inside!

Black Diamond Sputnik Chalk Bag

Rating for this product: 4 October 28, 2009

The built-in rim on the top of the bag allows for an easy dip anytime. The brush is always helpful when cleaning off a nasty hold in the gym. Been a great bag for the past two years.
