I used to carry my laptop in a North Face Offsite Bag (great bag - Huge) But i wound up carrying around half of my word in that bag. Then i switched to the Mac Book Pro (awesome - well worth the money) and decided that i needed a new way to carry my investment since the NF bag was not so portable. This timbuk2 bag is awesome, carries my 13" notebook, a few pens, my portable HD, the power brick, and some small items. That is it. if you are looking for a compact notebook bag, this is it. This bag is very durable. I am a paramedic and carry this bag on duty to protect my laptop, it has held up awesomely against all that we throw at it!
