Armada JJ Ski

There are no changes to the JJ besides the topsheet graphic. If I were you, I wouldnt upgrade to the current model if you have the 09-10 model, they are the same skis

get the jjs over the s7s. the other options you're looking at are not too different from your obsetheds and are not worth changing. Get the JJs, thay have every single technology you could want in a ski. the S7s are very similar but the JJs seem to overpower them, at least thats what most people say.

Armada JJ Ski
November 1, 2010
I have a question about the 2009-2010 Armada JJs. I bought a pair and I noticed that the sidewalls are aligned perfectly but the logos that say "armada" on the ABS sidewalls are not aligned together.... is my product defective? THese are the 2009-2010 model and everything else is aligned together except the logos on the sidewalls. If you put the two skis together (base to base), the sidewall logo of one ski is higher than the other. I have a photo to better explain what i mean.

they would definitely work as a touring ski. they are really light and nimble and would be great to tour in.

K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski
August 13, 2010
For you to decide between the ARGs and Hellbents..
The hellbents will have more rocker tip and tail than the ARGs and will have a larger turn radius, the soft flex will make it a little harder to land big cliffs without landing backseat.WILL HANDLE RIDING SWITH AND LANDIN SWITCH AMAZINGLY. one of the best backcountry jib skis on the market.
The ARGs will have a bit more surfier feel due to the reverse sidecut. They will be a little stiffer for bigger cliffs and might turn easier in the trees. Will not float as well as the hellbents , but will still float amazingly. they will also be more versatile due to the slight camber and sidecut underfut. They will handle crud better than the hellbents.
They are both amazing skis but I would go for the ARGs if I were you, for the terrain you are skiing, you will have a lot more fun. Either way, you cant go wrong with either, the Hellbents are super sick, as well.
As for size, just remember, always go up. I've skied skis that are big for me and they might be a little harder to maneuver but they provide more float because of the greater surface area and will be stiffer because they are meant for heavier people. Hope this helps.

is this ski like a blend of last year's obsethed and hellbent? would it be similar to the old hellbent chassis with an obsethed flex and tail?

William Richmond, have you skied the current hellbent model? if so, do you prefer the 2011 obsethed or the current hellbent? I'm still making up my mind... thanks

K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski

I like next years obsethed but I thought they would be the same in versatility as the hellbents because they have the same tip rocker. I'm not crazy about skiing switch in pow or doing tricks but i do ski switch and sometimes do tricks and i'm worried that the all-terrain tail of the obsethed will not handle riding switch that well. Is the tail of the obsethed much stiffer than the tail of the hellbents? Thanks for your help, Jack.

I'm debating between this years hellbents and next years k2 obsethed. The 2009-10 hellbents are only 5mm wider than the 2010-11 k2 obsethed but im not sure which would be the better ski. If anyone has any thoughts can you please help? thanks..

Im 5'3'' and 100 lbs, will the 169s be too big for me? I know rockered skis are supposed to be big because the rocker makes them feel shorter but im just wondering? Im growing fast and am planning on using them next season.

I agree--marker griffons are amazing bindings. and the fat toe piece helps with turning fat skis such as the hellbents.

Marker Griffon 12 Ski Binding
October 27, 2009
The 110s might be a bit big and might actually touch the snow when carving. If you're going to ride switch they might even hook. You're better off adjusting the 90mm ones with some plyers.

Marker Griffon Schizo 12 Ski Binding
October 26, 2009
how is the fit of the binding? when i was much younger i had the basic marker bindings (not from the royal family) and the feel of the binding was horrible--you could tell they were bad quality. then i switched to some salomon bindings and really enjoyed how the boot snapped in and the feel of the binding was really nice. Im planning on buying these but i dont want them to feel like my old marker bindings. I think these will be better because many of the pros use marker royal family bindings but im still not sure, can someone help me?
