im 6'2 180 and a medium fits me quite well. the arms are long enough but slim...i would recommend a large or XL. worst case scenario, you can always swap it out with backcountry. they are great with returns.

You are going to sweat your balls off. Cool idea (I am from Iowa and I would do it), but you are going to be climbing in an oven. Don't try to smear, your shoes will melt!

Handle strength

The North Face Longhaul 26 Rolling Gear Bag - 3300cu in

I really liked this bag. Good size for a 1-2 day trip and it had great packability. It was my go to for every week that I traveled. After about 4 months, however, the handle wouldnt telescope down. It was completly jammed and I was in the aisle trying to get it into the overehead, no less. I know North Face and Backcountry have a pretty good policy on that kind of stuff but I was really disappointed. I decided not to have it fixed. Be gentle.

I carried it on all the time. Typically, however, I would fly on regional jets and gate check it and pick it up on the jetway. It's a little big for a carry on.
