In some cases, jeans are just better. Booty shaking just doesn't look as good in snowpants and some would argue the same for snowboarding. For the fashion forward mind, Analog has you covered with ATF.

“THE WET PLATE PROJECT” is a first ever, unique approach to snowboard and action photography shot by experimental lifestyle and accomplished snowboard photographer Ian Ruhter. The Foursquare Team along with Ian set out to shoot snowboarding in an entirely new way, through one of the oldest photo processes ever developed, Wet Plate Photography.
This process - also called collodion - combines dangerous chemicals and developing systems (using an 8 x by 10 Deardorff camera) to create gritty, detailed metallic images on glass, an experimental and difficult departure from modern photography. Using this process, glass plates are coated with collodion liquid, allowed to set, then sensitized in a bath of silver nitrate, and finally exposed for a few seconds, or up to several minutes, before being immersed in a bath of potassium cyanide to develop. The challenge: Ruhter needed to shorten the exposure time significantly to capture fast motion under intensely bright lights. (Note: The only other person who successfully did this was Edward Muybridge, who photographed a man riding a galloping horse in 1878).

This jacket will definitely work. The biggest thing to keep in mind in that kind of weather in proper layering. I highly recommend investing in some good base layers and then a mid-weight fleece etc. If the weather is always consistently that cold i would also recommend something with a little more insulation.

Hello,
The Imperial is a great boot! Supportive, comfortable, and with the new total comfort technology can not be matched right out of the box. Speed zone lacing with Upper and lower laces gives you the adjust-ability when lacing up your boots that one pull cord can not. Add a vibram sole for more traction, EST cushioning, Shrinkage allowing you to be have a smaller footprint, Radpad, and then lastly, S4. The new S4 shell panels on the Imperial evenly distributes the pressure from your straps to maximize rebound and resist breakdown for consistent flex, allowing your boot to last longer.
The most bang for the buck!

Lawghead,
How tall are you? You are on the low end of the 157 regarding weight. Remember you can ride a shorter board with the float of the reverse camber in the Flying V shape. May want to consider the 155.

Amazing tech in the new Diode Re:Flex. Lightweight, responsive, and with carbon allowing it to be more powerful. If you are looking to put it on the Barracuda and your Custom FV, which have the channel, may want to look into the Diode EST. Take advantage of unlimited stance options, board feel, and the new hinge!

Tried and true. The confidence of camber letting you charge every condition. A reverse camber board may float more in powder than a traditional camber board, but the Custom X will hold a great edge for the hard back days. Very responsive and will do great when making quick turns in the trees.

Burton Diode EST is not compatible, however the Diode does come in the Re:Flex which is compatible with the four hole pattern of the Lib Tech mounting System. Re:Flex allows for similar board flex that you get out of the EST on the channel. Look of the Diode Re:Flex and watch the video!

Right out of the box your boot should be a little snug allowing the boot to fit correctly when if packs in. You should be able to graze the front of the boot with your big toe. If your toes are not curling, I would say you are good to go. Burton boots fit pretty true to size.

This is more of a spring riding pipe glove... although some ride it full year round. If you get cold easy this is probably not the one for you.
This glove is awesome, really flexible, has great grip and looks/fits amazing... just not built for warmth.
However, this glove is amazing, is flexible, and warm:

You will probably want the medium, Ian. The small may be a lil' short in the sleeves when you extend your arms. Just for the mere sleeve length, I'd start with a medium.
It will not be too baggy but will give you room to layer a bit.
If it doesn't work you can always exchange for the small.

Its not an ideal park board, but there are many park boards that are directional, so your 'all-good' on that front. Also, the board has a very generous waist width so it will be nice and stable under your feet. Park board tend to be a bit larger underfoot for stability and stomping landings.
I think you'll be stoked on this board unless you are hitting 60+ foot booters and than you may want something that is a bit upgraded.

I would suggest some cartel EST's (however, any EST bindings will help you maximize board flex and feel) -- Boots are all about comfort. Something medium flexing would match up perfectly so you could drive turns but still have enough movement in them to navigate tree sections. I would suggest a Burton Ion or Ruler!

The largest difference come in trickle down technology from better bindings and material construction.
These bindings are similar to a Cartel or better from 2003: More comfortable straps, better cushioning under foot, a more grippy cap strap, a better high back with more precise forward lean adjustment, tool-free strap adjustment, better buckles... All and all, the bindings have a had quite a few upgrades over the years.
The most similar part is the short-glass polycarbonate construction. Better/slightly lighter materials have been used but its a similar feel.

To Answer your questions:
Can I only ride this board with Burton bindings?
NOPE, ANY FORUM DISK BINDING WILL FIT ON IT... BUT TO OPTIMIZE THE RIDE YOU SHOULD GET SOME EST BURTON BINDERS AS IT CHANGES THE WHOLE FLEX AND FEEL OF THE BOARD FOR THE BETTER
Can I use it with my older 3d disc?
YOU CANNOT USE YOUR OLDER 3-D DISKS. HOWEVER, THE BOARD SHIPS WITH A PAIR OF NEW TWO-HOLE DISKS THAT CAN BE RETRO-COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PREVIOUS YEAR BURTON BINDING. SO YOUR OLD BURTON BINDINGS WILL WORK FINE!
Does it come with a uni-disc that I can use with my older Burton bindings?
NO UNIDISKS... JUST THE TWO-HOLE DISKS.
BY THE WAY.. THIS BOARD IS INSANE! MY POW / BIG MOUNTAIN BOARD OF CHOICE!

If you are a baller enough to afford this board!
#1) props to you... you've done well for yourself
#2) it rides similar to a Burton Custom... but with the quicker reaction time of an alumafly core. It is not ideal for beginners but if you got it, flaunt it. It does have a medium flex and a great shape to it!!! you can easily grow into after a few more weeks of riding.
p.s. Think of it as a lamborghini... they don't do so well off road. They are high performance sports cars. With that, don't ride this board on terrain that you know is rocky as a core shot is not s easy to fix.
All in all, this board is next level and will truly blow your mind!!!

Yes, they will fit great. Due in part to two reasons: The Oakleys have the strap mounted to the outside of their frame (this way it doesn't try to pull your goggle out to fit around your helmet) and also because of the fairly flat top profile on the crowbar. They will sit snuggly under the mini-brim.
If you want an absolutely seamless fit try the Anon realms, Anon Hawkeyes, or Anon Figments and Majestics... As these goggles are designed in conjunction with the RED helmets.

The hail is a great boot! It has internal ankle support that connects to the boot (not the liner like some lower end models)...
The hail is very responsive with a great cushioning system (great for bigger jumps or hard landings off rails)!

I don't have an exact weight value for you, but I can tell you it feels really light!!! Here is why:
The insulation was originally developed for cold war military combat, PrimaLofts extremely lightweight core structure suspends millions of air particles in a microfiber mesh. These microscopic air particles repel water while trapping heat to keep you warm in the nastiest conditions, even after repeated washings.

They get used while wearing the boot... but only should you need additional ankle heel hold.
If you are not getting any ankle slip then you don't need them right off the bat. However, you may want to put them somewhere for later. As the boots break in over a couple seasons you may find yourself wanting to drop them in at a later point to tighten up the ankle.

Compared to riding the Flying V with normal disk bindings... with EST's you get almost 90% more flex out of your board -- especially underfoot because you have no plastic underneath you foot, but just EVA cushioning. And, no, I did not make that up.. its a real measurable test that Burton did to compare their two systems.
Ride this flyin' V with EST's!!! It will dramatically affect the flex and feel. This board is insane. I ride the easy livin' flying V now and hands down, ITS INSANE! Get ready to live, but definitely match it with EST binders for unlimited stance options, and the most amazing board flex and feel you have ever experienced!!!

There is a tail-bone protector but its very lightweight and does not have a hard shell backing on it.
I use this version in the men's every day I ride as both a thermal and some minor protection. I love it! (plus no one knows how lame I am for wearing it -- besides the fact that I just told the whole world... ha-ha)
If you want something with more protection, try one of these:

That's correct, they un-clip and then re-clip across each other to hold the board directly on the outside back of the pack vertically! YEAH lyric, I understood, but that's a hard one to explain!
p.s. By far the sickest hiking and sledding pack... I even use my as a daily backpack.

Its built around the same last as the previous years, so the fit is very, very similar... However, in my opinion, the SLX's toe box has increased slightly do to how Burton used the soft-flexing, molded polycarbonate to shape a spine-like skeleton around it.

The fit is fairly similar as they are built using the same last. However, the flex on the Ozone is much softer than the grail.
The grail is a medium flex (If you lace it tight, and double back the laces on themselves, it can become even stiffer) Breaks in great and holds to a medium flex.
Overall feedback and sales on this boot have been insane. It has many fans!!!!

Perfect choice! You can go with the 146 or 149...
If you like to ride all over the mountain go 149, but in my opinion, you'll have more fun on a 146 as its more playful/easy to control.
This board will take you through intermediate up into advanced! Shred it!

They are cut to size... So at first it will be large enough for a 3000 lb elephant (okay, maybe not quite that big) and than you simple undo the side with the closure, cut it to her waist size, and reattach! (I always take a lighter to the end before you snap it back in place so it doesn't fray over time)
Don't cut down the side with the fancy emblem!
Pretty sweet!

Its super breathable and very waterproof but it does not have an insulation built in... you will be plenty warm with thermal bottoms, a thermal top, and some sort of fleece or layering piece over it.

I threw one on my Joystick a couple weeks back and have been riding Brighton, UT everyday with it. It looks super low profile, and you'd never know it was as stomp pad... but it does give some great traction when needed. A lot better than not rocking one at all (which was what I had going)

Check this one out... Its a cool kids print and comes in a 146 so he could use it for this board and still pack his boots, jacket, helmet etc. in it.
Plus, he will be able to use it for a few board to come as he grows up. Also it has some generous padding in it so it will keep its shape.

Unless you have a super bulky boot it should fit... (technically medium goes up to a size 10) It will be a lil' snug, but in my opinion its better to be snug than all loosey goosey!

There is 100 Grams of insulation so its fairly decent but on the thinner side... Granted you can get jackets that have upwards of 500 Grams. You will need to layer for sure as you should with any piece. How much is depended on how easily your body gets cold and what activity you are doing.
If you purchase some first layer and a bonded fleece you should be golden!

It is a flat camber board with a mid-wide waist width. It will for sure excel in POW and jumping. Jeremy rides his 159 for just that. If on an urban assault mission or resort day, he handles the 151, or 156.
You may also want to check out the Joystick and/or Custom V... both are rockered and much stiffer than the Hero.
http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Burton-Joystick-Snowb
http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Burton-Joystick-Snowb
http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/Burton-Custom-V-Rocke
I ride a 157 joystick for pretty much everything. Jumps, POW under 2 foot, Rails, pipe... It has a super deep side-cut, a mid-wide waist width and ollies like a champ (as you know, ollie-ing a rocker takes a lil getting used to)
Jeremy's board is similar to a joystick in that they are both mid-wides with deep sidecut. They differ in the rocker. Kids that Ride Jeremy's board swear buy it!!! so, I don't think you could go wrong. I hear you on the one board versatility. Send, it, you'll be stoked!

No, I would probably say stick to a small... unless you are on the larger side of small. It does have 60 grams of insulation so you shouldn't have to layer too too much underneath.
Maybe a bonded fleece and some thermals and you should stay toasty warm!

That is correct, they do not have a zipper... However, the way the pockets work is they sit deep down. So, the entrance to the pocket is above and the pocket sits all the way down to the ribbing.
Unless someone is hanging you upside down by the toes and shakes you, I am confident you can feel secure about not having to lose anything :)

No, it does not come with the "ladder" part of the strap. It is meant to be a direct replacement on any Burton binding that does not have a cap-strap.
However, most local shops carry the ladder pieces and will sell them to you for around $5.
On a separate note, most other companies toe straps can be adjusted should you want to use this on a Non-Burton binding. All you usually need is a pair of scissors or a knife... if you want it to look like an expert hack-job maybe use a dremel tool.
I have fitted many non-burton bindings with this strap!

Yes, it has Burton's universal pant feature package: Including Link Zip Jacket-to-Pant Interface
Other notables:
-DWR finished Fabrics (helps wick away moisture)
-Dryride fabrication (helps wick moisture keeping you dry)
-Pocket Key Clip (don't loose those keys in the snow!)
-Fully taped seams (again, bye-bye water -- and cold air)
- integrated waist adjustment (fits perfect every time!)
- Ticket-o-ring (gotta put that lift ticket somewhere)
- reinforced hems (come-on, we all sometimes step on our pants)
- boot gaiter with boot interface (click your pants to your boots to keep the snow out and your pants from turning to floods)
- snap up leg lifts (snap 'em up so you don't walk through that muddy parking lot and get them dirty!)
- zippered, mircofleece lined hand warmer pockets (mmm, warm!)
- thigh vents (some days its hot out! -- especially when you are rocking a fully heated pant)
- ghetto slits (sometimes you want to bell-bottom flare out the bottom. Keep your style in check)
- mircrofleece fly and waistband (noone wants rough stuff near their special parts)
One last notable -- Temp Settings and battery life goes as follow:
And yes, the review is correct, the ink in the fabric carries the heat
LOW - 85 degrees --- 4.5 - 5 hours of battery life
MED - 96 degrees --- 3.5 hours of battery life
HIGH - 110 degrees -- 2 hours of battery life (that is well over hot tub warmth!!!)

Okay, so I'm sure you checked out the Size chart.... but I placed it below just in case.
I do not know an exact inch measurement for the length. However, this jacket is a signature fit piece. (check out attached picture)--However since its a down, it will have an extra lil' length. If you want something longer look for a Team fit jacket as they have an extra 2+ inches. This down jacket is by no means short, but it does not have an extra 2+ inches.
My fiancee has this jacket and loves it, its super warm, soft hand feel, and according to her it "feels like a sleeping bag"
women's size chart____________xs____________s_____________m______________
Chest Size Fits To_________30 - 31"______32 - 33"_____34 - 35"_______35 - 36"_________37 - 38"_______

- the great stretch (gives unbelievably dexterity -- your hand will never slide off that tail grab, again(
- and most obviously, the killer looks!

It is similar... yet different.
Differences are in the construction... banana-tech utilizes a radial rocker between your bindings that than extends to flat underneath you feet before your nose and tail kicks.
Burton's V-rocker Breaks once between your bindings then extending flat underneath your bindings (similar to Banana) but Burton's than breaks again, upward rocking after the channel and before your nose and tail kicks. (see the picture)
No matter which rocker you choose make sure that it has an edge technology so it doesn't feel all loosey goosey ... Magna traction on lib and Pressure distribution edges (or frostbite) on Burton are designed for the same purpose... Aggressive EDGE hold!
