    Cascades, Mount Rainier, National Parks
  • Bio:

I first went camping when I was a month old and over the last 20 years have continued to love getting outside and exploring the world.
Over the last two years I have worked for the United States National Forest Service on a Trail Crew in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

I love to hike, backpack, camp, trail run, swim, rock climbing, and boulder.

These bottles are fantastic! Strong and can take a beating. They works well and I have used them for carrying white gas, chainsaw bar oil, and gasoline.

Five Ten Moccasym Climbing Shoe

Five Ten Moccasym Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 February 15, 2011

These were my second pair of climbing shoes ever. I bought them 2 sizes smaller then my street shoe and it took about a month of climbing to get them to stop hurting. However, after that they were extremely comfortable and I never had a problem with them moving around or slipping. I literally just wore through the rubber on the toes but it has been 17 months of gym climbing 3-4 days a week and multiple trips to local climbing and bouldering areas, as well as bigger trips to Smith Rocks, Leavenworth, and Squamish. I was so surprised at how well they have held up to the beating and how effecting 5.10 rubber is after about a year and half of climbing. I will be buying another pair as soon as possible.

La Sportiva Onix GTX-XCR Hiking Boot - Men's

La Sportiva Onix GTX-XCR Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 23, 2010

I have had these boots for just over two years and I could not be more happy with them. I believe that I have completely destroyed and tested them in almost every hiking circumstance. Yet they survive and are still in very good condition. I have never had any problems with them and will buy another pair once these are gone. So far my single pair has survived two seasons on a National Forest Service trail maintenance crew, been hit with a shovel and axe, Summited Mount Rainier with crampons, used when carrying packs of +70 lb, countless hikes and scrabbles, work well in snow, stood in water for over 5 min, and have logged more then +800 miles. These boots are one of my favorite pieces of outdoor gear.
