The North Face Ultra 104 GTX XCR Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 16, 2009

This year i have done a 35 mile one day app trail challenge and dayhiked/summited Mt. Whitney in these shoes and i have to say my decision to go with this shoe over a boot was the right one. Extremely comfortable with enough support for my weak ankles, great traction on rocks and in mud and at the end of both of these hikes the only parts of me that weren't sore were my feet. I am going to bring them along for my Grand Canyon Rim to Rim day hike in a few weeks and have no doubt they will perform as before. Having used these, i would never go back to a boot for hiking/backpacking with 30lbs or less on my back.
