KEEN Summit County Winter Boot - Men's

KEEN Summit County Winter Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 15, 2009

I got a pair of 10.5's and they felt a little snug on my left toes. I saw online that people thought they ran a little small and recommended that one should get a half-size larger than they "normally" wear. I ordered an 11 and spent about hour rapidly switch-hitting around my apartment. I felt that the extra toe room on the 11's was slightly greater than I hoped but thought it was something I could get used to, even though, miraculously, at that point the 10.5's didn't seem as snug. However, the reason I chose to keep the 10.5's was that with the extra toe room on the 11's there also came extra width and height around the ankles and lower shin. Consequently, I found myself tightening them up which made them feel more clunky and less sporty and streamlined. Add to that my understanding that these boots have proved to be satisfyingly warm for others and I foresaw myself desiring the option to wear thinner socks when I will be in and out of doors with equal duration for an afternoon free of toting additional footwear.
