Bummer, I used to love these

Chaco Flip Sandal - Men's

Chaco Flip Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 October 9, 2009

I've bought two pairs of these over the past, oh, 10 years, and wear them as my every day shoe. So I went ahead and ordered what would be my third pair recently, identical size and model to what I've had twice before.

Uh, oh. Looked mostly the same, but the sole was different, not a biggie. Put them on - "Hm, doesn't quite feel right. Maybe I just need to break them in." Wore them for a week until I couldn't stand it any more.

Called Chaco and, alas, the company has been sold and they are now manufacturing in China, and they're "having some quality control problems with straps that are too short."

They said they'd replace them, including free shipping both ways, so I sent them in. Back came an identical pair with the identical defect - strap is too short.

Bummer, I loved my Chacos, but I've returned them now and will have to find another brand.
