The North Face El Cap Peak 1/4 Zip Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

January 6, 2010

I am an athletic build 6'3", 185 and am stuck between a medium and large for different types of shirts. If i want a closer fit to wear with a t-shirt underneath, would a medium work? Are the sleeves on the longer side?

Winter running base layer

Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Patagonia Capilene 3 Zip-Neck - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 24, 2009

An excellent base layer for running in the upstate NY winters. I wear a Sporthill running jacket over this and have stayed toasty on runs in 15 degrees. I have not had any odor problems like some other people reported and this shirt does it all and is amazingly light! I am dry as a bone after my runs even when really bundled up.

I am 6'3" 185 and i purchased the medium since i wanted a very close, active fit. The body is long for a medium (which is GREAT) and the sleeves are a fine length. I could not be happier and at 50 bucks i think it is fairly priced.

classic fleece

The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Pullover - Men's

The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2009

Incredibly soft and very high quality. This is a do-it-all fleece perfect for lounging around on a lazy Sunday morning or layering under a coat. For sizing purposes, I am 6'3", 185 and ordered a medium because i wanted a closer fit. The body of the medium is perfect but the sleeves are the tiniest bit short (another inch and they would be perfect, but this is a mild inconvenience). if you want to dress this up with a collared shirt underneath I would go with a large (the medium fits only with a t-shirt underneath).

Backcountry ships incredibly fast and they are very easy to purchase from. I highly recommend doing business with them and am always satisfied.

Great pullover!

The North Face Flux Power Stretch 1/4-Zip Fleece Pullover - Men's

The North Face Flux Power Stretch 1/4-Zip Fleece Pullover - Men's

As someone else mentioned, it is a bit pricey but is a terrific buy. I am 6'3'', 185 and the large fits very well, though the sleeves are kind of long (i think this is by design). I haven't worn it for any hiking or anything so i cannot comment on how is it on mountains or for extremely cold temps. For casual wear this fall it has been plenty warm with a t-shirt underneath or a long sleeve shirt.

It is very high quality and the stretchy fleece is very comfortable. I am very happy with the item (I got it in blue) and it will be an excellent layer for the winter. I highly recommend it.
