22 Designs Axl Telemark Binding

October 12, 2011

Has anyone had any issues with these bindings chewing up the toe or releasing, as in your foot twists out during a turn a turn and you almost kill yourself release? I tried adjusting them quite a bit but could never get them just right to meet up with my Scarpa T2X's.

Couldnt get them to fit correctly

La Sportiva Makalu Mountaineering Boot - Men's

La Sportiva Makalu Mountaineering Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 1 April 15, 2011

After break in these got a little loose on my foot and ended up being too small lengthwise. Took them to Limmer and Sons and had the tongue modified to try to lock my heel in more and keep my foot from moving but that just made my foot numb. For me these are just too stiff for heavy backpacking. Wouldnt work for me even with modifications by the best in the business! Also, these look tough on the outside but they have a fabric inner that will start to fall apart if you abuse these boots.

Dont work for me

ALINE Footbed

ALINE Footbed

Rating for this product: 1 November 19, 2010

I used these in my alpine ski boots for about a total of 2 runs...then took them out and threw them away. I had a roomate at a ski shop who said I should try them due to my knee problems and flat feet. While my roomate warned me I should get used to them at home first and that they may be a little painful, the pain I experienced only got worse on the hill. Severe discomfort, and by the second run both feet were frozen on a mild day. Also, the top of the insole would catch my foot going into the ski boot and move the insole around...not fun. Overall I think this product is a good idea but does not work well for me. Im sticking with superfeet.

Black Diamond Kilowatt Ski

November 16, 2010

So Im stuck between these and the G3 Saints in a 184/5. My only concern about the saints is they might not be "enough" ski for me as Im 195-200lbs. I do plan on doing quite a bit of touring but its all for a reason, to bag sick lines in deep to semi deep snow. Ill be using the Axls and TX2's. Thoughts...anyone?

Ive owned a heli pro since 00/01. Its hands down the best day/day tour pack Ive ever used. Customer service from Dakine is awesome. They fix their stuff after you beat the bejesus out of it beyond all reason-no questions asked. Highly recommend this pack and brand for those looking for quality.

Simple and rugged and allow for great grip on the poles. Do not work well in really wet conditions...but thats not what they're made for. Love em.

Sick jacket

Armada Galactic Jacket - Men's

Armada Galactic Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 3, 2010

This is the best ski jacket I've ever owned. Spent a whole night in NH in the rain and didnt have a problem. Nicely cut, big enough but not too big and it has some powder sleeves with thumb holes that I thought were annoying at first put grew to like. Sizing...Im 6'3", 215lbs and I find the XL to fit great. I dont like my stuff huge though...Not into the crazy colors so I went with black...but hey, thats just me.

Sick pants

Armada Plasma Pant - Men's

Armada Plasma Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 November 26, 2009

Pants are very well constructed. Im 6'3", size 34-36 waist, 220 lbs. and these are great for everything. Enough room to walk and move...but not too much park steez that they get in the way. XL would require a bomber belt and would be too baggy for me.

Best sock ever

Darn Tough Merino Wool Full Cushion Boot Sock

Darn Tough Merino Wool Full Cushion Boot Sock

Rating for this product: 5 October 20, 2009

Ive used these socks for years. They are not the most "high volume" full cushion boot sock and you need to make sure you buy the right size (too small would be uncomfortable). Hands down the most durable, comfortable sock ever. I have pairs that are about 3 years old and I still wear them daily...On top of it all, they are from Vermont, and Vermont rocks.
