22 Designs Hammerhead Telemark Binding

Rating for this product: 5 November 3, 2009

I have broken the cables on all other types of bindings I've owned. Except these. Bomber bindings, very supportive and powerful. I trust them in any condition and use them exclusively. Also like the underfoot design, no longer stepping on cables or self ejecting from snagging bindings.

Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad

Black Diamond Telekneesis Kneepad

Rating for this product: 5 September 25, 2009

I won't go up without them, no matter what I'm doing or how I'm skiing. One of the best things about them is the elasticized upper strap - when you drop into a turn, the circumference of the thigh grows, and the straps can be restricting. Not with these pads. In fact, I wear mine loosely strapped, and then wrap a few layers of duct tape around my leg at the bottom of the pad, on the outside of my pants. The tape keeps the pad in place, straps keep it centered, and i get much less wear on my patella over the course of the day. Eliminates some post-ski ache. See you on the hill.
