I noticed after getting the filters ready for use, that there was a plastic type taste in some of the bottles.I learned here that you can invert the carbon filter to the top, and that fixed it for me. Also, I wonder why they don't publish the warning that if you have thyroid trouble you should not use these bottles because of the iodine which is what created the plastic taste. Now the taste is gone, I like them very much. Glad I read that small warning on the filter because I almost gave one to two people who take thyroid medicine.

If you put the carbon filter at the top to help alleviate the iodine taste, does that nullify the warning for people with thyroid problems?
