Vasque Breeze Hiking Boot - Boys'

September 18, 2009

Hi: I need to get a pair of waterproof hiking boots for my 11 year old son. I have tried several different ones and he complains of them hurting after wearing them no longer than 2 hours. He has very tender feet with lots of scar tissue and does not have the flexible range of motion that most of us enjoy. He was born severely club footed bilaterally and had his feet surgically repaired when he was 8 months old. He started wearing casts at 2 weeks and after surgery he wore casts then braces for the next 2 years of his life. If anyone knows of a soft, well padded waterproof pair of hiking boots that we could try we would be open to all suggestions. He basically needs great boots that feel well broken in from the first moment he puts them on or he will have pain and develope blisters because his feet are still slightly malformed. Thanks for any suggestions.
