34degrees F, moderate sleet, and predawn skies with no sun at all, I took this for a 5 mile run. I wore only an Omni Freeze T-shirt under it and running pants. Mike is right. It is lined with a lofty, long-nap fleece, and shelled with a wool/acrylic woven. This is an amazing piece that is not totally windproof

This model-- the Lite-- does not have Omni Heat insulation and loft. Both this and the traditional Heat Elite II have OmniHeat reflective dots on the inner surface.

this is a great shell and light jacket. its "memory" callout is that it will nto wrinkle and its memory will keep it straight

thi sis my new daily driver in the Denver area. It is light and offers great hgeat retention on the cold snaps. slightly heavier is the Key Three, and an insulated one is the Wildcard. You can easily ski in the wildcard!

your best bet for a zip-in interchange jkt is the Ten Trails. there are many others that are 3-point compatible (sleeve, neck, and sleeve secured)

The way i discuss breathability in clinics to simplify it is this way: breathability should not imply a straight shot through a membrane. the OmniDry Membrane is 70% lighter than the big name membrane and everyt bit as waterproof. the breathability is unparalleled and does not contain EPTFE-- a material that will never decompose. I use this as a travel jacket into cold for a windbreaker and a rain jacket as well

XS for sure. she will love this. the sleeves do have velcro cuffs and will seal nicely on a pair of gloves. the side pockets are generous and a great place to stow the hands away from the cold

the shell is built with some more duarability than many puffy jackets out there. is is a comfy piece with not too much sheen and it insulates very well. The OmniHeat is proven effective and is certainly here to stay. Omniheat does a great job at leveling the huge temperature flux with exertion in the elements.

It really depends on how bulbous the helmet is, and I have to say that first. It will accommodate an average sized helmet providing the coverage over the brain stem isn't too extensive. There has been very little response to the contrary, and I just want to make sure you are aware of it before you step into the backwoods

the watertight jacket is a very nice shoulder season and summer rain coat. It is totally waterproof and more breathable than most jackets int he category. I would eye the Greene Trail or Hail Tech as alternatives... Or get the Outside Magazine Gear of the Year jacket... the Peak 2 Peak. treat yourself to the most breathable waterproof jkt out there
