Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 17, 2012

I scored this for super cheap on S&C and I'm so glad I did! I've only had it for a little over a week and it's been awesome. Super warm and super comfortable. I'm 6ft, 160 lbs with a fairly athletic build and long arms and the medium fits me perfectly. It may be shorter than some people like, but it works well for me.

Cool shirt, I wish it didn't shrink weird.

Backcountry.com Meadow T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Backcountry.com Meadow T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 9, 2012

The shirt design is cool, the material is soft, and the sleeves are even long enough for my monkey arms. Unfortunately when you wash/dry it, it shrinks to an awesome width, but also gets too short. (For me at least)

I'm 6'0 and 160lbs with a +3 reach, and it fits great in the midsection and has long enough arms, it's just too short.

Nice pot!

Mad Rock Chalk Pod

Mad Rock Chalk Pod

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2011

I totally like this chalk pot more than any other. The fact that it compresses and frees up room in my pack is awesome. It holds plenty of chalk, has multiple guards against spilling, and has a nice pocket for stuff on top. Overall, it's awesome.

Love this bag.

MontBell Super Spiral Hugger #3 Down Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree

MontBell Super Spiral Hugger #3 Down Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2011

Warm, compresses nicely, and most of all--super comfortable! I usually hate mummy bags, but I can move around, bend, etc...without feeling restricted.

There are three minor things that would make this bag perfect: a draft tube/collar, shock cord in the hood instead of non-stretch cord, and a chest pocket.

Toasty!

Sea To Summit Thermolite Reactor Extreme Sleeping Bag Liner

Sea To Summit Thermolite Reactor Extreme Sleeping Bag Liner

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2011

I used this in combination with my 30 degree montbell bag in 20ish degree weather. Granted that's only 10 degrees, I stayed toasty the entire night! At one point I even have to put my feet outside of my bag because they were too hot. Even when my feet were outside the bag and still inside the liner, they still stayed warm for at least an hour before I had to put them back.

If you use this in combination with cold-weather camping techniques, it can add quite a bit of warmth to your bag. I highly recommend.

Worth the extra $

Metolius PAS Personal Anchor System w/ Element Locking Carabiner

Metolius PAS Personal Anchor System w/ Element Locking Carabiner

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2011

This guy makes clipping into anchors easy! If you get two of them, they're great for making an equalized, redundant anchor.

Great rope

Mammut Tusk Climbing Rope - 9.8mm

Mammut Tusk Climbing Rope - 9.8mm

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2011

Awesome rope. It's right in the sweet spot between being thin and durable. I've been using it for a while now and there's still very little signs of wear.

Mammut Neon Gear 45 Pack - 2745cu in

Mammut Neon Gear 45 Pack - 2745cu in

Rating for this product: 5 March 22, 2011

I love this bag. It makes the approach way easier and keeps all of my gear organized and easy to access. I wish there was a thicker hip-belt, but other than that it is awesome. The tarp is a good size and actually cinches down to create it's own rope bag.

Definitely an upgrade from the previous version. It's surprising how much smaller it actually is. Paying out slack and lowering folks is super smooth, definitely worth it.

Petzl Sama Harness - Men's

Petzl Sama Harness - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 22, 2011

I've been using this harness for a while and still love it. I wouldn't want to hang all day in it, but for anything up to 2-3 pitch sport or trad routes, this guy is awesome.

Cold fingers.

Stoic Welder Short Glove

Stoic Welder Short Glove

Rating for this product: 2 February 1, 2011

Maybe I have bad circulation or something, but every time I've used these gloves, my fingers have been FREEZING. Even if I start off with warm hands and use liner gloves, they still end up getting cold.

The fit was pretty good on my hands, snug, but not too bad. Just go by the measurements in the sizing chart.

Tecnica Moon Boot - Women's

Tecnica Moon Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 December 2, 2010

I bought these for my wife and she loves them. She normally wears an 8.5, so I went with the 39/41 and they fit well. All the foam keeps her feet nice and warm. Definitely recommended.

Awesome for overhang and edging

La Sportiva Miura VS Climbing Shoe

La Sportiva Miura VS Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 5 June 29, 2010

I went from using Evolv Defys to these, and I love them. The rubber is super sticky and works great on overhangs and edges. Definitely recommend for an all-around high performance shoe.
