Mountain Hardwear Amalgam Jacket - Men's

October 13, 2010

I'm looking for a shell to wear over my Alchemy jacket when it is too cold/windy, while snowboarding, hiking, tailgating. Would this fit the bill?

My two cents

Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Softshell Jacket - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 4, 2010

I've owned this jacket for 5 years now and its still my go to nearly everyday fall through spring. I'm 5'10 150 and a medium fits great I can get a base layer and a light sweater or fleece underneath. The only problem is its hard to put on the jacket when a wool/fleece sweater is sticking to the fleece liner of the jacket. Secondly the side panels and arm panels are made of powerstretch and are not windproof. It can make for some pretty chilly decents bombing blues on my snowboard. Great jacket just a little chilly at the top of the mountain.

Bummed no Vibram

Chaco Flip Eco Tread Sandal - Men's

Chaco Flip Eco Tread Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 October 1, 2009

I bought these slippers because they are the only ones I could find that had real rubber on the soles. They were replacing my 10 yr old Tevas that had river rubber soles that had finally worn through. The sandals are comfy and supportive a little heavier than the Tevas. My biggest grip is the sole isn't Vibram anymore at least not on mine. It is 25% recycled content so I hope they're made from pirelli racing rubber.
