La Sportiva Thunder II GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 20, 2009

I've been using La Sportiva boots for (mostly) day hiking with a moderate pack for about six years. Unfortunately the models change over time (from Storm to Thunder to Thunder II), so there is always the worry that the next model may not be as good as the previous one. Luckily they all seem fit me rather well. I hike between 600 and 1500 miles a year (retired) and I haven't had a single blister in all the six years.
Obviously, boots are a very personal thing. La Sportiva makes the best fitting boots for MY feet. I buy a new pair about every 18 months. I have them resoled once, but after that they're pretty much shot.
