I love to do anything outdoors including backpacking, downhill and xc skiing, xc running, backcountry skiing, alpine climbing and rock climbing. Unfortunatly due to school, sports and money Im not able to do this as much as I would like. I have to constantly remind myself that I have a whole lifetime ahead of me and dont have to do it all right away

Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Men's

Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 28, 2009

Just got back from a hiking trip in Denali National Park with winds up to 30 mph and some snow! The jacket was extremely water resistant and i was suprised to find that it was also 98% windproof as well. The blue looks a little fruity but if ur comfortable in your masculinity its waaay better than the orange. Definitly an amazing addition to my outdoors wardrobe

Wow

Gregory Baltoro 70 Backpack - 4149-4638cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 6, 2009

just got back from a one night over 8000 vertical feet up and down and this pack performed amazing. It did a great job ventilating on my back and i really enjoyed the flexing hipbelt due to the difficult terrain. Plenty of extra room, stayed dry in a little rain and felt incredibly comfortable. the only complaint that i have is that the hibbelt pockets arent very big but thats minor to all the positives of this pack. Definitly worth the money

In all honesty you can only learn so much from reading and looking at packs online. The best thing for you to do is to go to a good outdoor store (i got my baltoro at REI) and try on both of them, load them up with some weight walk around, go up and down the stairs and see which one feels best to you

Sorel Caribou Boot - Men's

Sorel Caribou Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 28, 2009

Ive had these boots for almost three years now and it doesnt get any better than these. They are sized large so i have to wear really thick socks if im going to do some hiking or walking in them. I live in alaska so warmth is just about the only thing i look for. Survived -20 plus no problem. If you plan on doing a whole lot of walking or hiking in them i would sugest the sorel conquest because these have very little ancle support. For casual eveyday wear, and for playing with the kids in the yard it doesnt get any better than these

K2 Silencer Alpine Ski

K2 Silencer Alpine Ski

Rating for this product: 1 August 27, 2009

Not enough flex to handle park or pipe well, not wide enough to handle powder and super cheap material. After just one year of riding the whole top plastic sheet was almost all the way off. you can get a much better ski for the same price if not cheaper
