Comfortable sandals

Teva Spoiler Classic Sandal - Boys'

Teva Spoiler Classic Sandal - Boys'

Rating for this product: 4 August 17, 2009

My boys have tried on many hiking style sandals. That is all they wear in the summer for daily outside play and weekend walks/light hiking or fishing.
Any major brand sports company hiking style sandals that we have been able to find (mostly soccer slides this year) had straps that were too short, inferior velcro, and/or the distance from ankle strap to the front of the toe seemed wrong. Off brands had hard soles, uncomfortable straps and/or non-wrap velcro straps (comes open while playing), or past purchases had fallen apart after 2 months.

My sons say these are comfortable sandals and had no blisters or soreness the first time they wore them.
These have long enough straps, maybe even too long.
My sons don't like most footbeds with textures & shapes, these are OK to them.
These have enough cushion under the foot, I can press with my thumb at the heel and it goes down a few millimeters.
The sole is flexible enough and has grips/traction for light hiking.
Concern: They have only had them for 3 weeks and there is more wear on the sole than I would expect in such a short time.
Minor Dislike: Boys say the velcro straps are a bit thin across the top and the pinkie toe side could be a bit wider
