Second pair of Smith's that I have owned. They just keep getting better! I refuse to wear any other brand. Great feel, photochromic quality is awesome, good fit. Buy them...

Returned

Chaco Hipthong Sandal - Men's

Chaco Hipthong Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 July 25, 2010

Chaco makes solid, comfortable footwear. But I had to return this because the lack of an ankle strap made it impossible for the sandal to stay on my foot.

Patagonia Capilene 3 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 19, 2010

Love Patagonia. Great baselayer, especially the price. Well fitted, although the neckline is a bit small. Super warm, dumps the moisture/heat very well.

Love PraAna

prAna Momentum Pant - Men's

prAna Momentum Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 7, 2010

PraAna is one of my favorites. These pants are nice, soft, comfy, sized accordingly, stretchy, and conforming to the body's natural movement. Also very lengthy, but that allows me to fold them up to the knees, which I do anyway, if I am climbing or doin yoga. Thanks BC>

Cozy Boots

Sorel Road Soda Boot - Men's

Sorel Road Soda Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 7, 2010

Sorel makes good product. No complaints. Comfy, cozy, warm, fuzzy insides, sizing is normal even with thick socks. Only wish would be to have a more firm, durable outer sole.

Perfect.

Under Armour Boxer Jock - Men's

Under Armour Boxer Jock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 21, 2010

By far, the BEST underwear ever. Supportive, without the uncomfortable scrunching. Breathable, next to skin feeling. I'm not one for underwear, but when I do use them, these are the answer. 9" inseams work best for me, offering a more sporty approach. Buy them, period.

Cloudveil Four Pines Insulated Pant - Men's

Cloudveil Four Pines Insulated Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 21, 2009

This pant is well suited to any extreme weather. With only a light weight base layer on screamin' cold days, they endure and insulate far better than any other pant I've owned. The fit is right-on, just enough room to give you that personal space, whether it be trekking, boot-packing, hucking cliffs, or aprés-ing, without leaving you looking like a sloppy teenager who seems to buy their get-ups in the big-and-tall section. I've gotten countless complements on these, to boot. Well done, again, Cloudveil, hats off to you. And also to BC for providing them at a stellar value!...

Skinny Pant

Mountain Hardwear Continuum Midweight Tight - Men's

Mountain Hardwear Continuum Midweight Tight - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 December 5, 2009

I'm a huge promoter of Mountain Hardware, but this baselayer I am not a fan of, personally. I understand where they were going with the seamless construction, but the fit is just not there. Super tight through the thighs with an extended crotch space, which in-turn immobilzes ones movement. They would do better to create a 'pouch' for men. Felt like I was wearing a skirt with leggings, or something. Needless to say, I am returning this item for an Under Armour baselayer pant, hope that works instead. I can say, I own North Face's Charcoal Bamboo XTC baselayer pant, and they are SWEET!....

Monster of a Life Line

Metolius Monster 9.8 mm Rope w/ Monster Marker

Metolius Monster 9.8 mm Rope w/ Monster Marker

Rating for this product: 5 October 2, 2009

I've had my rope, 70mDry, for more than a month now, and it's a beast. Still gets a few kinks here and there, but the overall break in time was easy. Haven't take any huge whippers on it, but I've had the opportunity to load it fairly heavily and the dynamic properties are well suited. I was a little skeptical about the fluorescent markers, but i've come to love them. You really can fell them run through your hand on belay and on rap, and they always catch my eye when they're coming close. Of course NO marker is a substitute for proper safety skills. Thanks Backcountry for solid gear and expedited shipping times...

SuperDraws

Black Diamond Quicksilver Quickpack Quickdraws

Black Diamond Quicksilver Quickpack Quickdraws

Rating for this product: 4 October 2, 2009

These draws are flawless. A tad bit heavier than wired-gates, but that to be expected. However, I feel they are a bit sturdier than their lighter counterpart. A 'no-brainer' buy. This is my first rack, plus some other friends, and its a great starter.

Perfect Pack!

Mountain Hardwear Direttissima Backpack - 2750-3500cu in

Mountain Hardwear Direttissima Backpack - 2750-3500cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 17, 2009

I bought my Diretissima about 3 weeks ago, and this pack seems to be indestructible. I've done a lot of climbing with it, and it holds all my gear including a 70m rope, so it has plenty of space with just a couple of useful, zippered pockets. Also has a compartment for a large hydration bladder, perfect adjustment straps, and sits well on the back for long approaches. I've been caught in a little rain and it seems to hold up well to water. Very happy and confident with this pack. Great buy!
