Awesome Alpine Harness

Black Diamond Alpine Bod Harness

Black Diamond Alpine Bod Harness

Rating for this product: 5 August 11, 2009

I wore out my first Alpine Bod (after many years of climbing ... probably should have retired it earlier) and got another alpine bod harness a year or trwo ago. 4 things I really like about this harness are:1. it is very light2. gear loops are optional (better to go without when wearing a pack waist belt over them)3. It has no fleece "padding" to collect ice chips and snow and melt them on you as the day goes on.4. It has no belay loop, if you want one just add an appropriate size sling to it (girth hitch the leg loops and thread the buckle) ... but without the belay loop I can release the leg loop buckles and unclip them while staying tied in at the waist. I can then run the leg loops behind me, put them securely over my shoulder and relieve myself while staying clipped in.Don
