The flex of these boots is rated as B2, so you can use C1 or C2 crampons. These boots have a fair amount of rocker though, so the sole won`t be as parallel to the crampon as with flatter soled boots

I tried a pair of Mammut boots and found them medium in width. La Sportivas have a narrow heel and a wide forefoot. Scarpas are for wide, high volume feet, so I think you`d be better with scarpa boots, Steve

Rab stuff is designed in the UK and tested internationally, but mostly made in china, just like 90% of other great gear

Laboratory results show Event breathes better than goretex. It doesn`t wet out either, so Event keeps on breathing. I`ll never buy goretex again

i`ve just bought a powershield jacket (rab baltoro guide), and whilst its windproof, you can see a little light through the fabric. its a very warm jacket, but i have not tried it on the hill yet, though i think it`ll be a little sweaty, so its ideal for WINTER
