High on my kit list.

Montane Atomic DT Pant - Men's

Montane Atomic DT Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2009

I bought a pair of Atomic pants 6 months ago and they live in my pack where ever I go. Worn them on bike commutes to work (60 mile round trip through northern englands hills!), on multiple ascents on the Cumbrian and Scottish hills in very wet conditions. They work really well in the mountains either trekking or moving fast - the calf straps reduce excess fabric and give a neat fit. I'm constantly surprised by how good Entrant DT is, both in terms of breathability and the DWR performance. Okay I work for Montane, but I've used waterproof trousers from many other brands and the Atomics are genuinely a permanent feature on my kit list.

Montane Flux Insulated Jacket - Men's

Montane Flux Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 22, 2009

I work for Monatane and we've been developing Primaloft jackets for years now but I can honestly say this is our best 60g yet. I've used and abused the Flux in Scottish and Alpine winter conditions and it goes where I go. Awesome array of pockets, Pertex Microlight outer, a hood that'll go over a lid and its stuffs into its own pocket to make a neat pillow. I've found that often thicker synthetic jackets are built as belay jackets and are just too baggy. This is a neat fit that'll live comfortably under a shell when moving in stiff conditions. Windproof, warmer than fleece and fast drying its high on my kit list.

Where would I be without it?

Montane Prism 2.0 Insulated Jacket - Men's

Montane Prism 2.0 Insulated Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 3, 2009

Where haven't I been you mean! Up untill now I really had problems finding a light insulation piece that I could wear continuously in the fall/winter/spring without that whole stop/start regmerole. 40g Primaloft eco with a Pertex Micro outer is the perfect solution. I wear it climbing, hiking, working and I even wore it on a 1000 mile bike ride in the spring! Can't recommend it enough and in combination with the Flux as a belay jacket even better. Stuffs into its right hand pocket for a neat travel pillow. Sweet!
