Salomon Brigade Helmet

September 17, 2011

Hey JP-
I just got tho helmet today and was wondering the same thing. It does not appear that these ear pieces are designed to open up to add speakers. However, they are removable, so there my be the option to add different (audio) ear pieces. I will update if I figure it out.

Otherwise, the helmet is great for the money. Looks awesome in person and seems to fit very comfortably!

I am 6'2" and about 220lbs. Do I really need an XXL? Or will the XL do the trick? Thanks!

Anyone have sizing suggestions? I did look at the chart and L looks right, but I don't want it too tight... I am 6'2", 34" waist, 215#... any help would be great! Thanks!

Mountain Hardwear Microstretch Zip Top - Men's

November 5, 2010

I'm 6'2", 215# and I would have bought the XL... but looking at the measurement chart it looks like a L would be spot on. Anyone have any experience with this piece?

Perfect

Salomon XT Hawk Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Salomon XT Hawk Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 17, 2010

I run the local trails here in MN a few times a week and these have yet to let me down. They have great ankle support despite being a shoe (as opposed to high top/boot) and the traction has been terrific even on loose dirt. Sadly they are out of stock, but if they come back, don't hesitate to buy. From my experience they fit pretty true to size, perhaps SLIGHTLY narrow but not bad. Enjoy!

Stoic Merino 150 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Stoic Merino 150 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 December 23, 2009

I got the black/lime in a LARGE. I'm 6'2" and about 220lbs. Fits SLIM, which is just the way I want it. But not too slim, can definitely still wear as a casual shirt, and easily as a base for skiing or anything outside. Wicks really well. Downsides? No issues with the fabric or stitching yet, but both feel a little sketchy. Also, I have long monkey arms and these sleeves are still longer than what I need. Overall, a good choice!

Comfy T great for lounging, bumming around town or to the gym! I am 6'2", 220 lbs and the L is definitely a SLIM fit, but still works! Love it, and for the price...can't be beat! Thanks BC!

Great pant

Backcountry.com Overhang Pant - Men's

Backcountry.com Overhang Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2009

I bought the wrong size for anything active. I'm 6'2" and 220 pounds and the XL is too big by a LONG shot! I'm usually a 34" or 36" x 34" I do wear them all the time anyway for chillin at home and cruising town for errands. I may try them with some thicker Marmot Dri-Clime pants underneath for snowshoeing. That should eat up the extra space. Aside from my mistake in sizing, this pant is nothing short of an A+, don't hesistate on this one.

Another GREAT BC product

Backcountry.com Siphon Wool Hooded Jacket - Men's

Backcountry.com Siphon Wool Hooded Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2009

I love this jacket, same great cut as the Siphon Street hoodie...which I wear daily. This jacket is SHARP. Can look classy or can handle the bars, love the versatility. I haven't done anything active in this jacket yet, but its been awesome around town and I'll have it for some time! Wish I had gotten a Graphite one before they ran out of my size :(

Backcountry.com Siphon Street Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Backcountry.com Siphon Street Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 December 22, 2009

BC, please keep making this!! Im 6'2", 220lbs and the XL fits great if you want a trim fit. I seriously wear mine almost everyday, just take it off to wash it. The fabric does pill, and thats really its only downside. Super comfy! Great articulation in the arms. Chest pocket is great for keys or a cell phone. I just may buy another before they are gone for good. Wish there was more BC.com stuff still coming out! Stoic is great, but not a big enough range yet!

Backcountry.com Prime Power Stretch Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Backcountry.com Prime Power Stretch Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 22, 2009

Im 6'2", 220lbs and the XL fits great if you want a trim fit. A thin t-shirt or lightweight merino could fit underneath and make this great into probably the mid 40 degree temps. Awesome for casual office days, chilling at home and of course being out on hikes or yard work. Great articulation in the arms. Chest pocket is great for keys or a cell phone. I would buy another if I could. Wish there was more BC.com stuff still coming out! Stoic is great, but not a big enough range yet!

Volkl Mantra Alpine Ski

November 18, 2009

Hey S, the Mantra truly is a great ski. And while your son sounds like a great skier, I have a feeling at 120lbs he would have a very tough time flexing this ski enough to make it useful. I'd look for something a bit softer! Good luck!
