How are the chords on the hood kept in place? My old Venture

How are the chords on the hood kept in place? My old Venture had those plastic slip adjusters on them, don't see these on the new version. Anyone know what the deal is???

Looking for the right fit:
I own TNF Venture, but have to replace it due to wear and tear. I love the fit of it because of the sleeves, which according to sizing charts say they are only 35 inches, but feel way longer. Anyone know how the Hail tech fits through the arms? Point of reference, I am 6'3" & 195 and wear a lrg in the Venture.
