Definitely a solid tent...used it for 2 days on a beach...got rained on at night and stayed bone dry. Not enough ventilation though...it was real stuffy during the storms. The only way to get a breeze in is to open both of the vestibule flaps...this wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn't pouring buckets. Not enough air flow...
